on further review it works. I still like ( ) the most though. It seems like mabe i'm sensing a bit of a Tortoise feel with a bit of Arcade Fire? I know its an odd name to drop on these forums, but thats what i'm sensing

I was unfairly harsh to ( ). I'll have to edit my review.
The new one is fantastic though! |

So I listened to the sigur ros album stream last night.... This album is excellent (WARNING: OPINION BASED ON A CURSORY FIRST LISTEN).
None of the tracks really stood out to me (for instance Takk had a couple tracks that are far better than the others), but this one seems solid all the way through. Can't wait until it comes out!

BOSCH'S WITH YOU added. Plenty of free music on their official site, MySpace and LastFM.
Wait, who the f**k cares? SIGUR gROSs are releasing their mastapizza, and any other band must be ignored for this sacred time! |

I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to the new Sigur Ros album.
Couldn't stand them before - don't know if I can now. The "balls in the vice" vocals are kind of an annoyance. Listened to Bossk a few minutes ago and now KC's Great Deceiver. Next is Earth's The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull. Edited by rushaholic - June 12 2008 at 20:44 |

Jonsi's vocals are definitely different, though.

Yeah, I know Geddy's voice is not necessarily a thing of beauty. However, it grows on you over the years.
Happy listening if Sigur Ros is your thing though. |

Hey Igor, if it makes you feel any better, I think Followed by ghosts, and Pg.Lost's newest are better than Med sud. They're both MASTERPIECES.
Also I got Silence kits Pieoneer!

Just came across a band called Transit. They are here on PA.
You can download a free album of theirs, Broadleaves vs Conifers, from the Internet Archive website: http://www.archive.org/details/LostChildren017 They're from Belgium. Sound a lot like Yndi Halda or EITS. |

One more - the band is From The Sky. http://www.archive.org/details/LostChildren043
I really like this one. Has kind of a math rock sound to it. |

They've been added to PA a couple of weeks ago. I've been suggesting them for some time. http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3713 Their debut Whitewater is amazing. Check my review. Edited by burritounit - June 12 2008 at 22:11 |

I'm gonna need to get a hold on some Laura as well.
How about Toundra guys? A very down to earth post metal band that dosent drown their guitars under loads of effects, but also shies away from super sludge distortion. Good stuff.

I really like Toundra.Nothing groundbreaking but their self titled debut gets better with each listen.
