I guess I'm into the retro stuff because I missed out on so much thanks to my parents refusal to get me a console until about 2 years before the PS1 was finally killed off. All the consoles I own at the moment are ones that I missed out on playing at all when they first appeared except my PS2 and PSP but I barely use those anymore.
I'm now able to play some much more interesting games on my Saturn as I've finally got an import adaptor, so far the only game I've played is Nights into Dreams which is common enough in PAL format but the Japanese version is cheaper and still has all the menus etc in English. I'm still waiting for a couple of games to come from Japan again they are available in English but the price difference is simply insane. |

I must return to Super Metroid at some point, I got to one bit and kept dying. I also must finish Earthbound. Currently I'm playing Secret of Mana. |

I love Japanese ebay sellers they don't realise just how much money they could make if they sold games at western prices, I bought 9 games from one seller today for an average of about £4 but if I had bought those games over here I probably would have had to spend a total of over £200.
Unfortunately due to the inevitable language barrier I can only play a few genres of games RPGs for example are completely out of the question but racers, puzzle, platform and shooting games are all easy to play without the ability to read Japanese. Due to the low prices I paid 7 out of the 9 games are racing games but importantly I love racing games and some such as the drag racing game I bought are quite unique. At this rate though I'm going to be an expert on Japanese exclusive Sega Saturn racing games. |

Super Metroid is epic. You were probably just getting ahead of yourself; I bet that you need to get another item somewhere else and then return to whatever it is that keeps killing you. |

Goodamn you gta4. first you freeze when i'm in a mission on the 3rd retry, then on my 5th retry i can't escape from cops on 2 star wanted level. everytime i get out of the area they search, more randomly spawn! so now i have to play it a 6th time. f**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**kf**k

Of course, I'll be buying it on release day because I'm a huge fanboy. The first one still has magic.

I have had no problems with my game(fingers crossed).
If you think two stars is rough, wait till the Three Leaf Clover mission where you have a five star wanted level through most of the long, long mission.
I just got the "One-Man Army" achievment last night. You have to stay alive for 5 minutes after attaining a six star wanted level.

Quick tip Stonie.....when you get right outside of the search area,if there are no cops within sight....stop.
It doesn't matter if cops are a street over or a few streets over, just go outside of the search area and stop.I can get away from 2-3 star wanted levels pretty easy, you get used to it.

Was that the one with the Irish guys and the bank job? I loved it even though I had to retry it once or twice. |

Out of curiosity, is freezing a common problem on Xbox 360? My friend was playing Eternal Sonata, and it froze twice for him around the same place (though I think he eventually got past it). He also said there was discoloration on the disk, and it looked darker in areas, I think.

I've started playing through GTA: Vice City again.
It's been ages since I played it so it's nice to go back to it. |
