The Tigers are about to start the season 0 and 4.  They are losing 8-5 to the White Sox in the bottom of the 9th with Bobby Jenks coming in to pitch.  The Tigers have only gotten to Jenks once since he has been with the White Sox.  What a disappointing way to start the season??? It's still very early in the year but to get swept by the Royals has gotta hurt.

Looking down the barrel of the first loss. We're only down 4-3 to the Twins, but we're having a tough time getting anything going against Baker.

The Tigers are going for win number 1 today with their number 5 starter Dontrelle "D-Train" Willis.  Given he was the Marlins number 1 starter, Dontrelle is a nice 5th starter to be able to go to.  He was inconsistent and wild this spring but hopefully he comes through today.  They are going up against the White Sox pitcher Gavin "Pink" Floyd, with whom I have just bestowed with this proggy nickname.  Hopefully, Mr. Floyd is greeted with the "echoes" of his pitches smacking off of the Tigers' bats as the balls are bouncing around in the outfield, or better yet leaving the park.

Wow, Howard just hit a bomb to center to give the Phillies the lead! Big%20smile

Hopefully Lidge will come in for the 9th inning and get the save.

My cousin hit 2 home runs in one game for the Phillies in Spring Training. He was sent back down to AA thoughOuchSmile

pretty depressing start but with the injuries we have and it being so early in the season im not too worried. once we get into a rythm we should be fine. too bad our offense has been doing nothing. what is maglio hitting? like 200? maybe? i think he's topping off our list.

The Tigers lead the White Sox 3-0 in the 5th inning.  The game is nationally televised and has big things happening so you might want to check it out if you haven't already.

^ I tried to say that the best I could without jinxing him, but I did it anyways.  Dontrelle had a no-hitter going until I opened my trap on the WWW.  He had 6 or 7 walks, but no hits until Thome just hit an RBI double.

The Tigers are now 0 and 6.  Is it time to push the panic button yet?   They were completely embarrassed by the White Sox on national TV 13-2 tonight.  This team looks more like the team that lost 119 games 5 years ago, then a team that has a chance to go to the World Series.  I am one who generally stays from first pitch to last pitch in a game, but best that I could do was end of the 7th inning tonight.  It was too cold and down 7 runs it just didn't seem worth sticking around for.  What a disappointing start to what was supposed to be a promising season!!!!

Tonight I got a glimpse of the future. On the Cards radio station KTRS they said that the Cards will win all four games in S.F. I wonder if these guys got the Delorean from Doc Brown?

And the Tigers who were supposed to be the team to beat are the laughingstock of MLB.  An 0 and 7 start and showing no signs that they will win any games this year. I must admit that as a fan I am Embarrassed.

We're winning with stellar pitching. Brian Bannister has just been lights out, and with Grienke right behind him in the rotation, the pitching will be very tough for (at least) two games straight.

I think the Royals are an interesting team this year.  They have three good pitchers at the top of their rotation (Meche, Bannister, Greinke), some good young hitters (Teahen, Gordon, Butler), and also a very good closer (Soria).  They're definitely a team on the rise. 

And hooray for the Phillies beating the Mets yesterday! Big%20smile
