*bump*

Now that I've thought about this for a while, I have an actual list:

Seyo, for adding something personal to every review to ensure that his reviews never run together.
Syzygy, for colour and knowledge (and for five-starring an Art Bears album.)
Me, because my reviews most closely match my taste. =P

But most of all, Ghost Rider, for being the reviewer that demands the most out of the English language. You can see how much effort goes into each (unless they're freeform, in which case you can respect her natural flow.) Additionally, I almost always enjoy reading through a Ghost Rider review even though I'll rarely ever agree with one, because between us, one of us likes hard rock. ;)

*blushes at the compliment*Smile

Coming from a superb reviewer like you, this is one of the greatest compliments I have ever received. As you know, I am not a native speaker, though of course I've had a lot of practice through the years. I love reviewing - unfortunately, I am not as prolific as I could be, since I often suffer from lack of inspiration.

As to my tastes, well.. they sure are more conventional than yours!LOL I suppose I could be defined as one of the members of the band you mention in your signatureWink...

^^hey hey, let me jump on the bandwagon,  LOLI find it fascinating when a non-native speaker can get so much out of a language...to be honest I wouldn't be able to tell you were Italian if I didn't know any better.

I'm really enjoying the current BOC-fest, you nailed my thoughts exactly on Tyranny & Mutation...probably my favorite one.Smile

Well it's because I review albums by bands nobody has heard of, or seems to care about.

I need to review CttE to get a reaction, methinks. LOL

My personal favorite so far is Bryan (Bryan Adair). From what I have read, he and I have very similar taste in what is good and bad in prog (Although I only half agree with him when it comes to his opinion of Dream Theater, and have a whole list of points that can debate him on Lateralus only being Tool's second-best album, Tongue)

Erik Neuteboom: a big part of my cd collection is because of his reviews.

And Sean Trane: these days when I would look for reviews , I always check out if he's written something about it.

Many others write splendid reviews as well, but these two are the most important for me. Clap

I know you're only joking, but the day after I reviewed CTTE, boom I'm a Prog Reviewer. Nobody respects you until you've written a review for that one.

I skipped the Prog Reviewer bit and became a Collaborator, which I think was a position specially made for me, because I was one of the first to become one.

Or maybe I'm delusional.

Yes, I am.

Definitely if someone has become a favourite reviewer of mine, it has to be Finnforest (James), his reviews caught my eye first of all due to his love for Italian prog which we both share with the same enthusiasm, but then no matter the genre or band he reviews, i have a good time reading them.

If you want just a proof, please read this wonderful review:

Embarrassed  (blush)

Wow.  Coming from the three of you guys that really means a LOT.  I appreciate that, i was just telling Ryan that what makes it fun to write is when you find out a few people enjoy your reviews.  I got great advice from a few reviewer giants here early on and always try to remember their advice, among it, be honest, try to find different ways to describe how it makes you feel, and last don't be afraid to say when you think something sucks.  It can be hard to write a negative review but it is necessary to give an accurate overall picture.

I don't even know where to start with my favorite reviewers, I'm afraid if I start listing I'll forget some!!  But I read many here religiously.

Thank you!!!
