You should see what Peter Hammill's singing does to the game Wink

I've been playing Ultima Underworlds one and two, Angband, Elder Scrolls *TWO*: Daggerfall, Doom 2 (and Hexen!), and other glorious games people revere but forget to play. I'm with Riley on the fact that Super Metroid is awesomeness.

I hope to make retro games of my own some day. =P

Has anybody played a game called Endless Ocean for the Wii?

I bought it for my daughter today because she wanted it pretty badly. There is no real storyline,no levels,no bosses. You just explore this HUGE virtual ocean enviroment. The game still puzzles me a bit,but the graphics are beautiful.

I haven't played the game much but my son is a big DMC fan and has been playing it constantly since it's release. From what I have played and seen and based on my sons opinion it is a lot better than DMC III and II.

DMC3 was better than DMC1 in my opinion. DMC2 was mediocre, and watching videos of Nero in DMC4 reminds of DMC2 -- apparently, though, it's not so bad (THANK GOD). Oh, hi, I've beaten all of the DMC games. I love challenging games.

Have you tried that new expansion? I wonder if it's any good. Might be worth re-installing the game.

I haven't played it, but I heard it's interesting. And hey, if it inspires some new diving buddies for me...Big%20smile

I'd like to look into the extensive Castlevania series.  Any recommendations?

The most RIO music I've heard in a game is on Sacred +, but that's more akin to chamber music really.

Ah, I've got Ultima Underworlds, but I've yet to play them, but I have played Worlds of Ultima: Savage Empire for PC.  I also have Worlds of Ultima: Martian Dreams.

You'd think a game with no real storyline or goals or anything would be boring.......

I just finished playing the game for almost 6 straight hours!Embarrassed(and I had to force myself to stop).

i love exploration and this game is all about exploring. The enviroments are gorgeous, and the sheer abundance of aquatic life for you to catalog and feed is unreal.I also found a few pieces of treasure(an old medal and a fragment of an ancient bronze plate). You can also take people on guided dives to make some money and get accessories, and I befriended a dolphin that I tuaght to do tricks and he also can swim with me as my dive partner if I choose.Right before I stopped playing I was awarded a dive light and could dive at night, and I just started exploring some deep water, reaching a depth of about 150 feet.

It's worth the $30 it costs,which isn't bad for a Wii game.

I've been playing Betrayal At Krondor for the PC, using DosBox... or I was, until all my characters died.  I will try again.

You mean Return to Krondor or Betrayal at Krondor? I played all 3 in that series (the 2nd was Betrayal at Antara). Embarrassed

I never actually beat either of the Krondor ones, though. I played Antara first, so it was hard to go back to the older Krondor, and I just never got into Return, feeling like I wanted to know what transpired in Betrayal first.

Yeah, I have it Tongue

It's just a rexaling game that you can chill out to.
There is a sort of encyclopedia in it as well that tells you about the various animals you find so I suppose it's a bit educational as well.
BTW, you can also make your own mp3 soundtrack on SD card that plays during the gameWink
Nice to dive around while lisening to Tangerine Dream or Ash Ra Temple.Cool

Oops, yes, that was a typo, I did mean Betrayal at Krondor.  It's actually quite good, I am surprised.

Audiosurf was finally released a few minutes ago and it's absolutely stunning in it's full form, although I've not played it for long I can see this becoming a game I keep coming back to. I decided to start off with Cygnus Vismund Cygnus by The Mars Volta, unsurprisingly I'm the only person to have attempted it (as far as I can tell). Of course I also had to play Still Alive from Portal and that was great fun. Big%20smile

I may try some ELP, Tetragammaton by TMV is a must some sections of that are really crazy, Mars from The Planets by Gustav Holst is also excellent.

I just found a trench in the sea floor called the Abyss and dove to a depth of 584 ft.Wild stuff.

I also discovered the ruins of an ancient sunken city!

And I have been listening to custom soundtracks ever since I started playing the game.Try diving to the sounds of Pink Floyd, early Porcupine Tree or Ozric Tentacles.Thumbs%20Up
