mine would have to be the likes of Journey, Toto, Boston and some Styx.... still great today...Embarrassed

Between the sardonic humor, the biting politically charged wit of one Jello Biafra, and the musicianship that was far beyond most punk bands, it was a winning combination to me and a blast of fresh air to combat all that lame corporate rock and synth pop that took over in the early 80's. I mean, how could you not like songs with names like "Let's Lynch the Landlord", "Drug Me" or "Stealing People's Mail"?
People are puzzled why I don't dig the Stones, well, I listened to the Stones, I tried, and I tried, and I tried, and--I Can't Get No Satisfaction!
