I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but if you mean the complexity of their compositions over the skill required to play them then i'd say yes.

You are lucky then.  I have seen them go for $15 to $20.  Happens to be about the same price new from the website I posted earlier.

I just realised what a small world I live in. I have a friend who is majorly into harcore, but the very mention of post metal makes him gag, and I just realised one of his other friends is huge on post metal, ao therefore I borrowed Neurosis' eye of every storm from him.

I can see where you're coming from, i honestly don't think of them as especially more progressive (or atleast "post rock") than creative considering some almost blatantly uninspired bands that seem like plagiarism of the "post rock" originators. I had actually rejected the idea of suggesting them already because they don't seem to fit appropriately under any prog. subgenre.

Btw, i can't stop listening to those The Pirate Ship Quintet & Neil on Impression Myspace samples. Big%20smile Those bands are certianly next on my list after MotW.

I think people complain too much about post-rock. I can tell the difference between all of the post-rock bands I listen to with no problem...

Mainly people that do not like post-rock ,are people that are to conservative...I like the past and the present , Wackobut theres always some that can't let go...the same happens with prog and other genrs.

Agreed. I've been seeing people a lot lately that are just saying that all post-rock sound the same as if it was a cool thing to say.

Funny considering that I have trouble finding two post rock bands that even sound remotely the same (maybe except a couple of EITS wannabe's). Most people just catagorize minimalismas one big same sounding genre.
 
As for post metal, I can list ten bands that sound completely alike, and it's quite annoying.

yeah, it's hard to find clones in Post-Rock really I'd love to have 3-5 bands at my disposal that would sound exactly like GY!BE or YNDI HALDA)))

And where can you get Maudlin of the well? Where? I'd like to hear that. I'm always open to more music. I even found two good post metal albums lately (which I reviewed). But I can't find that on amazon, cdbaby or laseredge. Where? Where?

Dark Symphonies did a limited re-issue of all the albums, but sadly Bath and Leaving... have already been sold out (I bought both there).
My Fruit... is still available there (10$) http://www.darksymphonies.com/

eBay is a good place to start (although the supply is very on-and-off), I think The End Records' distribution site had their albums at one point, no too sure anymore. But if all else fails, use SoulSeek! Big%20smile
