Video & PC Game Discussion

I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic for the first time. Very entertaining, but having played Jade Empire before (which, to me, is a clear improvement from KOTOR) I'm not overly enthusiastic about this. The fighting system seems a bit clumsy.

I managed to pick up a couple of SNES game today, Cannon Fodder and my first SNES rpg (that's not in japanese) Illusion of Time.

Not got the SNES set up at the moment but I'll probably use it a bit over the week end.

I was also very tempted to buy an Atari 2600 today but unfortunately the shop I was in wasn't sure how much a few games to go with it would cost,  if they've sorted it out next week I might end up handing over a large amount of cash

Illusion Of Time (Illusion Of Gaia in the US) is brilliant.  Try to track down its sequel, which was only released in Japan and Europe, called Terranigma.

Play Terranigma any way you can.  It's probably one of the RPGs ever made, ever ever ever.

I was -this- close to stopping my posts in the thread; it seems all anyone cares about anymore is modern FPSes and "mature" games targeted towards young teens

I'll keep an eye out though. Personally I'll play practically any sort of game, whether it's a modern FPS or strategy game or older games like Super Mario World or Illusion of Time. I just enjoy gaming in general.

You might enjoy Geometry Wars.  It's my new addiction

I'm still playing FFXII, but I've really quickened my pace over the last three weeks or so.  I'm currently in Pharos, and about 94 hours into the game!  (Though my friend logged 160+ hours.... )

I got The Orange Box and Mass Effect for Christmas, which I am happy about.

So who's playing Call of Duty 4 on Xbox Live? I have about 35 hours on the clock.

Lately I've also been playing NHL 08 and the latest proof of Xbox 360's superiority over PS3, MASS EFFECT.

Finished masterpiece Call of Duty 4 (oh the graphics, My God!) and couldn't stand overrated Halo 3.  Now FIFA 08 takes my console time and soon Assassin's Creed

I discovered "Second Life" lately. quite an interesting game
