I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic for the first time. Very entertaining, but having played Jade Empire before (which, to me, is a clear improvement from KOTOR) I'm not overly enthusiastic about this. The fighting system seems a bit clumsy.

I don't know jade empire, but i dit not find the fighting system clumsy at all in KOTOR. But then again, i am used to Baldurs Gate, which is so much more clumsy :)
And i played it on a computer, it seems harder on a playstation. |

I managed to pick up a couple of SNES game today, Cannon Fodder and my first SNES rpg (that's not in japanese) Illusion of Time.
Not got the SNES set up at the moment but I'll probably use it a bit over the week end. I was also very tempted to buy an Atari 2600 today but unfortunately the shop I was in wasn't sure how much a few games to go with it would cost, if they've sorted it out next week I might end up handing over a large amount of cash |

Save states and the turbo function make most games more enjoyable and convenient on the PC. Never been too keen on emulating anything sans NES, SNES and GBA myself though. Everything else makes my comp freeze, or, in the case of Nintendo DS, turn itself off.

Illusion Of Time (Illusion Of Gaia in the US) is brilliant. Try to track down its sequel, which was only released in Japan and Europe, called Terranigma. |

It has a sequel? I'll try to find it but I suspect I'll be rather unlucky since I've never heard of it before and I know the names of a large number of SNES RPGs I want to get my hands on. EDIT: just searched for it on ebay and all I'll say is ouch, not one copy under £25 Edited by N Ellingworth - December 01 2007 at 03:25 |

It also has a prequel, called Soul Blazer (dunno the UK name), but it's not as good as the others. Play Terranigma any way you can. It's probably one of the RPGs ever made, ever ever ever. I was -this- close to stopping my posts in the thread; it seems all anyone cares about anymore is modern FPSes and "mature" games targeted towards young teens |

I saw a PAL copy of Soul Blazer on ebay but that's also really expensive. I'll keep an eye out though. Personally I'll play practically any sort of game, whether it's a modern FPS or strategy game or older games like Super Mario World or Illusion of Time. I just enjoy gaming in general. |

I've heard good things about that and for £2 + tax via steam it looks like a good deal

I'm still playing FFXII, but I've really quickened my pace over the last three weeks or so. I'm currently in Pharos, and about 94 hours into the game! (Though my friend logged 160+ hours.... )

Time for a bump
I've just bought a Sega Saturn on Ebay. I've been after a Sega console for a while and a Saturn appeared at a decent price so I couldn't resist getting it, I've also bought a few games in addition to the ones which will come with the console; Discworld, Duke Nukem 3d and Myst. I've never even seen a Sega Saturn so I'm really looking forward to getting it. |

I got The Orange Box and Mass Effect for Christmas, which I am happy about.
Unfortunately, my Xbox Live has messed up again.

So who's playing Call of Duty 4 on Xbox Live? I have about 35 hours on the clock.
Lately I've also been playing NHL 08 and the latest proof of Xbox 360's superiority over PS3, MASS EFFECT. Edited by Logos - January 04 2008 at 13:02 |

I finished FFXII and I don't feel like doing some of the really hard side quests. I'm not sure what to play right now, I've been playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind recently, but I don't think it'll keep my interest since I've played it before.

Finished masterpiece Call of Duty 4 (oh the graphics, My God!) and couldn't stand overrated Halo 3. Now FIFA 08 takes my console time and soon Assassin's Creed |

Just finished Assassin's Creed the other day... Awesome! The game dynamic is a lot different from most other games available... very suspenseful and tense, but not stressful like a FPS.
Now on to Call of Duty 2 and 4, which I got for Christmas sort of by accident. My mom's friend bought them for her 6-year-old son, clearly not having a clue what they were about... and eventually they ended up in my hands!
