Bob Dylan. And Mark Knopfler, though he doesn't really sing.

Agreed. Bjork is technically a pretty good singer. Her range is fantastic, she is powerfull, versatile and original. She sings with great emotion and her intonation is actually very good; when it's not, it's obviously not supposed to be. Some people think that afemale singer has to sound like Karen Carpenter or Janet Baker to be 'technically good' It's not the case.

Anyway, Lemmy is my choice. Dreadful singer. Great voice!

Steve Hogarth is a good prog singer. He may not be clear and disting or hit the notes totally right all the time, but he sings with emotion, which overrides anything else (assuming his voice isn't annoying and I don't think it is).

I don't necessarily think Brian May has a bad voice at all. If you're singing alongside Freddie Mercury on the other hand... you're bound to be overshadowed.

I had given up on this list until I read the last nomination - Marianne Faithful - oh yes, not a great voice, but a really great singer. Clap
What?

funny, I like every one of those singers aside from Hogarth and Marianne Faithful (don't know who she is), and I wouldn't say that all of them have a "bad" voice (especially Clapton, Neil Young, and Brian May).  My pick is a toss up between ol' Neil and Brian May...really like Ray Davies as well.

I would say a combination of Latimer and Ferguson, I'm not sure who sings in Song within a song, but he's voice is pretty bad, and anyways I love the vocals on that song.
