Anyone here ordered their copy of the new echolyn dvd? I got mine on Friday and it's awesome - great packaging and an extra dvd of just interviews and old home movie clips of the band. Also - video clips and commentary from the Sony Studios recording of "As The World" The first dvd is from the Sellersville show that I'm very happy to say I was at - Brett has done a fantastic job with the sound and video editing. This includes echolyn playing 'mei' with full orchestra! You can check out a sample video from my fansite: I'd love to hear from any other echolyn fans out there! Chris Laine |

It's next on my list. I recently bought the "Little Nonsense" box, which completed the CD collection. Echolyn have fused so many great elements to create a wondrous whole. Fab!
I'm hoping this release is the gateway to a new ECHOLYN production. Mei was spectacular. Is there anything new on the horizon? Edited by danbo |

I meant "studio." I believe this new one is being released on CD as well as the DVD.

The answer is ..yes! The band will be back to the studio for a new studio release in 2005 (keep your fingers crossed) - and the good news is: Tom Hyatt will be joining them on bass for the first studio album since ATW in 1995! This is one I'm really looking forward to! I spoke to Tom at the Sellersville show last year and he was really excited about being back in the band. There are some live sets coming out soon - from Nearfest 2002 and the Orion shows....having been to all of them....I highly recommend them when they're released! Chris Laine

I finally sat down last night and watched 2/3's of the first disc. Wow! What a band. I think I turned a couple of friends onto them. I hope they play a West Coast show, I'd love to see them playout. Awesome!

Ouch! He comes out of hibernation and kicks me in the nads... Professor Slideout must, and will pay for his dirty deeds. Slobbin', to the Badger-mobile, NOW! It's hard to fight whilst holding a full plate of steamy crappola. Gotta finish off another failed applicant.... I'll be back later, Petater! |
