talk about a potential no win situation LOL...  to pitch Beckett or not...

don't and lose.... Francona will never hear the end of it

don't and win... meerly only got H.F.. with Dice K up for a potential game 7?

do and lose. with him on short rest and throwing off the 'rest' of the rest of the schedule. He'll never hear the end of it and the Sox will be finished.

do and win... you've still got Shilling on short rest., who wasn't exactly impressive... and still may be looking at having to win both in Boston ..who pitches game 6, against  Carmona,

The Red Sox are in a no-win situation.  That's my favorite kind of situation for the Sox to be in.

^  as a baseball snob.. who thinks good baseball stops west  in St. Louis...  ClapClap

the Rockies are a HELL of a team.  Can't believe I'm saying this..but Josh Holliday did the right thing going pro out of Stillwater H.S. rather than going to OSU.   We could have used him a QB though... though I could have played QB against Nebraska last weekend hahahhahaha

The Rockies sure as hell have momentum behind them....but in baseball, momentum is only as good as tomorrow's starter's appearance.

I don't think the Sox can make up the deficit in this game.  Down 3-1 is not impossible, but sure looks like we have Cleveland v. Colorado for next week.

Royals did it in the ALCS against the Bluejays, and then later against the Cardinals in the 1985 World Series. Not impossible, but I doubt if it happens.

Did you see Rameriz pose when he hit the solo home run? You'd think he just hit the game winning shot that sealed the series for the Sox. They were still down 7-3. Moron.

I'm sure the Sox are trying to summon whatever made them come back against the Yankees...we'll see.  John Kruk made a good point on Baseball Tonight after the game, that the Indians are going to throw Sabathia and Carmona for games 5 and 6 respectively, hard to see them not winning one of these games (and if they don't, maybe it just wasn't meant to be for them going to the WS).

If the Sox don't lose to C.C., they'll lose to Fausto.  It's that simple.

Those two hardly epitomized good baseball this year.

I can understand him turning down that contract.  They've given him so much sh*t over the last couple of years, and then they ask him to take a pay cut?  He's been there for 12 years and they won't give him more than a single-season contract?  I would've walked away too.
