Quite a turnaround after his start to the year, well and truly burying Fisi now.

Oh man, the next race already?
It may be 12 points with 2 races left, but lets say something happens to  Hamilton and Alonso wins (which is obviously very possible) you have just a 2 point lead.
What an exciting season it's been though.

It'll be fine to see the decision again in Brazil... anyway I'll support Lew Ham. Cool

Stunning lap from Hamilton to get poll, I really thought he was looking at third or fourth. Should be a good race tomorrow morning, last time I checked, the weather forcast said 90% chance of rain. If I was a betting man I'd put money on Lewis rapping up the title tomorrow.

Can't wait though, and I hope Hamilton dosn't lock it up (though I think he will) I would like to see it at least go down to the last race. Looking foward big time though.

This race proved its a good thing I dont bet!LOL First time we've gone to the series final with a three way title fight in 21 years, I still reckon that Hamilton is going to take it as Interlagos should suit the McLaren and he has the leggs on Alonso now. Fantastic drives from Vettel (4th!Shocked) and Button, who had to come back from a poor handeling car at the start.

I feel like a prophet LOL Sure enough something happened to Hamilton and we have a fight till the end. Can you believe he beached his car going into the pit lane?? Craziest thing I've seen, I was freaking out.

Anyway, Hamilton still has this title. Alonso would need to beat him by 3 spots, and Kimi would need a miracle. And what I realized is, Kimi winning the race hurt Alonso big time. It was a GREAT race though.

Button in fifth was surprising for me, everybody says he's past his prime but I still think he's got something left in him.

But as for Hamilton, I hope he didn't have any fan appearances scheduled soon...LOL

Anyone that says Button is passed his prime doesnt know what they are on about, he's wheel to wheel racing ability has rally come on strong this year, attack and defence, and he can motivate a team to work hard like Shumacher did. Plus, theirs a persitant rumour that McLaren might try to get him to partner Hamilton next year, especially since Alonso is almost certainly gone.

Well, Button says he's staying put but its a rumour thats been around for the last few weeks, and he's a better bet than, well, anyone else they could consider IMO.

And no, this is the right thread. Who's leading the Chase (or is it Sprint now)?

Gordon is up on Johnson by 9 points, Bowyer is 63 back and Stewart is 154 back. Everybody else is pretty much out of it, barring disaster.

Dave Blaney cracked the top 35 in owner's points anfter finishing third at 'Dega, which as awesome news to a diehard Blaniac like myself.

Well I'm more of just a Blaney fan than a Toyota fan, but I give a ton of props to Toyota. A pole, two top fives and a team in the top 35 in owner's points in just 30 races is quite a feat. Plus they get Gibbs next year, and with a line-up like Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin good things are abound.

Add Jr to that as well now (I've got the right team havnt I?).

Just checked the ITV-F1 website, Wurz will step down from his ride with Williams effective imediatly and retire from F1. He's had a tough season, for some reason he just hasnt been able to get the performances in qualifying this year, put his runs in Canada and the Nurburgring showed he's still one hell of a racer.

Nope, Jr. went to Hendrick.

Any word on who is replacing him, and is he gone for good?

Bugger, I knwew he'd gone to one of the big teams but couldnt remember which one.Embarrassed

Wurz may still do testing but China was his last F1 race for certain I think, he may turn up in something like DTM or sportscars though. As for his replacement, no mentiom yet, but I think it will either be one of Williams test drivers, Kazuki Nakajima and Narain Karthekayen(sp?), or GP2 champion Timo Glock, who already has some F1 race experience from Jordan in 04.
