KING CRIMSON — In The Court Of The Crimson King
Review by Bratus I have to repeat myself - It is really pitty to see that TOP of Prog Archives is fully occupied with more than 20 years old stuff. Was progressive even existing those years? Thanks God we do not find The Beatles here, in prog charts! ----- a lot of reasons to not keep it, even considering that 2007 is not even close to the beginning of the 21st century mainly I think that he's got a complaint review, simplistic and unfocused. He relates it to the previous review, made for Wish You Were Here. While that one's okay, this one would be nonsense within the context of ITCOTCK's reviews. Not an abuse by any means, just an error... All the reviews on the front page are appearing currently in bold letters. |

UNEXPECT — In a Flesh Aquarium
Review by progressive I think this album is almost too weird (but not exactly very original), even wannabe, alternative, and maybe somehow boring, shuffling it all round and round. Avant-garde seems to be somehow popular, but this definitely has enough massive elements of avant-garde metal, avant-garde and for example technical metal, mixed with symphonic (but fragmented) female fronted metal. The vocals are very refreshing (at least sometimes, there's whole new way to sing). This is best things that has come in progressive metal field in these times, though I don't exactly like the style so much and the songs could have still some more balls (that's why I don't analyze all the songs here, they are quite similar to each other) - so i give five stars, not four. Dynamic music rules, I can't resist it, sorry. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A five-star review has never looked so 2 or 3-star.... Man, the guy says it's boring, he doesn't like the style, not very original... yet five stars??

What about this?
The "review" is useless, it can only be counted as a rating only....
Still, I would advise the person to follow the guidelines.

Either are too short... they count as a rating without reviewing.

Review by Bratus Posted 4:48:48 PM EST, 10/2/2007
This album is one of 3 masterpieces created by Blind Guardian, two
others are Nightfall... and Somewhere Far Beyond. Once BG is defined
here like progressive I have no doubt to give this album 5 stars. For
those progheads who never heard BG before I would suggest to start with
their best album 'Nightfall...' and take care this is power metal in
the end :-)
He doesn't mention anything about the music at all. (I wrote a review more descriptive than that for a Doors album and had it deleted.) |

and this one by the same reviewer (In fact, I suggest looking at all his reviews.) EDIT: Nevermind, the only other questionable review is this one, the others are all fine. Edited by Shakespeare - October 02 2007 at 18:55 |

Perhaps the reviewer should be asked to remove the derogatory genitalia reference in the last sentence.
