Let's just say that the Avs-Wings rivalry hasn't been the same in recent years; but we held up our end of the bargain.Wink

I miss those days when an Avs-Wings game meant something.

I was at the Red Wings game last night and an actual fight broke out.  I think that the Red Wings had 5 fighting majors all of last year.  First time in 10 years that the Wings didn't have a regular season sellout.  Although, there were definitely a lot of empty seats during the playoffs last year.

I watched the game from the comfort of my living room and was fairly impressed at the wings preformance, though I would have liked to have seen it if the ducks had their stars on the ice

P.S. Did a search and didn't see a hockey thread.

I simply don't understand you guys, you're really special, Denver is opnly at 1.609 Meters over the sea level (5,278 Feet) and you make a tragedy.

Lima is a semi tropical city with wionters over +12 C° at 0 Mts over the sea level, as Brazil (they are tropical though) but in the classification round we have to go to play to La Paz  at 3,200 Meters over sea level (10,498 feet) or Quito, a bit lower, but at least 50% higher than Denver, with temperatures bellow 0C° in La Paz and nobody makes noise or problems.

The team I'm fan of had to play in Cerro de Pasco at 4,218 Meters above Sea Level (13,838 Feet) and we won the championship there.

Don't tell me the soccer ball doesn't act strangely in such high altitudes, the local teams kick from any place and it's like a bullet, makes curves, bounces strangely, etc.

The fields in those citries are crap, because grass doesn't grow weell, but we go to those places and win games. The greass in Coors Fioeld, natuural or not, is perfect.

I seen games in Europe where the field is white and the lines are marked taking the snow from determined zones.

5,368 feet above sea level IS A JOKE, you don't feel the effects of altitude normally before 8,202 feet, that's a medical fact.

All I know is the New York Yankees play at sea level, and they still lost.

The biggest complaint in Denver is that "breaking balls" (curve balls, sliders, split finger)  don't break as much and straighten out.  Hence why the hitters have an advantage.  The ball does travel a bit farther in thinner air but I think the first point is way more important.

A Hockey note: I live about 20 miinutes from where the Ducks play and I'm telling you there was the biggest yawn heard when they won last year.  So Cal is tough place to get noticed. LOL

Stranger things have happened, but I suspect you're right.
Just as well, I can't get these games in HD.  Angry
