I love both.. for different reasons, they simply are different albums..
and production pro or con had nothing to do with it. Remember.. I'm a
damn RPI nut.. .if I was spooked about production ...I'd listen to

you have Hugues.. the production may be the same.. and musically they are very different. In structure and it sound... Squire was neutered on 90125... his Rick blazed on Drama... on 90125... he was put way in the background.. that was the beginning of when he started to phone it in as he has admitted. Rabin was no Howe... want a classic overproduced 80's guitar sound... listen to 90125. Howe on Drama was a beast. They are alike only in some production... and the fact that Squire and White played on both. |

I am not that happy with some of the latest development in PA
 , and with a few outside personal issues  (rather pleasant but unsettling) , I've had less time to invest in here.So Clem has temporarily taken direction of Prog Folk, until I decide to return, if I can swallow some of the recent events here!
 At the rate ZowieZiggy is reviewing, he'll soon overtake Bob, Gatot and Erik (the only one really wanting that #1spot), meaning that at least Belgium is not just good in Tennis, Chocolate and Beers.....

2112 was the one I wanted to play when learning the guitar. I had not heard any other Rush at that stage. My friends and I used to play 2112 reasonably but we could never do the vocals.

it was the album I wore out when I learned to play bass.. so it has sentimental attachment. The lyrics are just plain silly... but the music is pretty good stuff. |

That album is often overlooked, but it is more interesting than many of their later CDs. At the rate I review I'll have to live longer than the universe. |
