I used to play Madden, College Football, and various NHL games, but now I like killing aliens and Nazis, as well as eagerly awaiting the next Super Smash Brothers

I've never been much of a gamer, but I bought the Xbox (the old one, I'm afraid) last December for a reasonable price. I'm glad that I did, because it seems everyone's selling their old games to pave way for Xbox360, and I've been buying some superb games lately for ridiculously cheap.
- Ninja Gaiden (5 €) - Fable (5 €) - Ghost Recon 2 (3 €) - Splinter Cell (4,5 €) Right now I'm playing Fable, which has so far been hugely entertaining. |

How is it?
And since I'm a complete retard, do you get to create your own player? (Sorry, I have an idiot friend who feeds me conflicting opinions.)

I am really digging it,and yes you get to create your own player. That is a staple of Madden games,if they didn't have that feature this year I would have been disappointed.
I am playing as the Ravens and just finished my last preseason game in franchise mode and am SHREDDING defenses with RB Willis McGahee.I hope he's this good in real life this year!!!!!!!

BTW....I wouldn't advise getting Madden08 on PS2.A friend of mine that doesn't have a next-gen console already returned his copy today. They put little to no effort into it,and when we were playing over at his house there was a lot of lag after plays, while choosing a play, and after a touchdown. It was extremely frustrating, and a lot of people who bought it for PS2 are complaining of the same problem.

I suspect that the PS2 just can't cope with the demands of this years Madden engine, unfortunately it seeems the PS3 isn't much better as a lot of games developers aren't making their games available on the PS3 as they claim it just can't cope with the demands a game engine makes which would be easily handled by the Xbox 360 and a decent PC.

We have all three next gen consoles and I regret buying the PS3,it rarely gets used. The Wii and XBox360,on the other hand, get played constantly.

Me and a friend have just finished God of War II on PS2 and now working on Black and Onimusha 4. Really cool games actually, especially Black (which is one of the most extreme shooting games ever created)

Black is an awesome FPS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I will ever get tired of both God of War games.Stunning graphics and cinematics, intuitive controls, and excellent sound.

I've been playing Final Fantasy X-2 lately. I find it a bit
disappointing so far, but maybe that's because I still haven't gotten
used to the fighting and character development systems.

Wow, that's almost word for word what I was going to write. Except the college football part tell me you are on a console and not PC.
Basically I am sniping on Call of Duty 2 and waiting for the Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion release.

On the other hand, the PS3 is one of the cheapest ways to get a blue-ray player right now.
