I just got home from a Dodger game, we ended up losing the game to the Diamondbacks 7 - 8, but we came back from a  1 - 8 deficit so that was pretty exciting and definitely a fun night a the ballpark.

Maybe A-Rod will break Bonds' record one day, since he's already at 500

if he stays healthy (obviously the big IF)  there should be no reason he won't.  Griffey should be a cautioning tale....  5 years ago he looked like a lock to break Aaron's record.

Heard on the news a few hours ago.....

Bonds has finally done it. 756. Ah well, now we can be done with that whole thing, and wait for the next TRUE home run king.
To his credit, I heard Bonds  had no problem with letting the fan keep the ball, unlike A-Rod....

Isn't baseball an over inflated version of rounders. Too much like cricket for my liking....boring and overdressed.

Just posting timidly here to inform that baseball isn't an "exclusivity" of the USA. Smile

A friend informed me that baseball is the 2nd most popular collective sport in the world! Star

Also currently the Brazilian League imported coaches from the USA, Japan, Cuba and Dominican Republic - they want to make baseball more widespread and visible... well, let's see what will happen in the near future.

actually rooted for the Yanks yesterday... and they came through for me.  Let's see if the Tigers have finally woken up.

Figured now is a good time to revive this:

WELL....I was more than hopeful about the Yanks I was sure. They led the wild card and were 4 behind Boston and playing well. They've slipped to 2 games behind the Mariners    who I can't just dismiss anymore Ermm  Mussina  is getting old and I think he should be sent down. Every game is critical and the Yanks can't be losing 18-9 or whatever it was.

Also, I was watching the scores and the Rangers won 30-3!??!  It's not a mistake. THIRTY to 3.......   wow

Rangers 30
Orioles 3

Wow that's terrible... that beat the crap out of the Orioles pitching.  I guess they were unlucky it was a double header (so they couldn't use more pitchers), and Texas still scored 9 runs in the second game!
