The ONLY good Transformers game to date was the one from Atari for PS2 back in 2004. A f**king great game. Oh, and playing the ass out of Pilotwings 64 at the moment. |

I played that Transformers game, and it didn't think it was that good. Certainly better than this one though. I suppose you're right, I shuld read reviews, but there are times when I lose control and do as I'm told. I refer to it as corporate epilepsy.

I though it was an unspoken rule that to be gamer, you should not buy a movie based game(esp. if they tie the releases) without looking at reviews first.

I think that rule should be changed to not buy movie-based games PERIOD.

Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64 is the only exception I can think, but there are probably a few I'm missing. I don't see movies much anyway, they're too expensive and generally don't interest me. So I don't really buy many video games based on them. Edited by Bluesaga - July 09 2007 at 01:03 |

Been playing Metal Gear Solid 2 a lot recently, definitely one of the best games on the PS2, will be starting MGS3, again, tonight and am currently getting a real desire to get a PS3 solely for MGS4 (whenever that comes out).

You have to play Shadow of the Colossus, Bully and the first Katamari Damacy. Other than that the PS2 has little to offer. If you want to scrape the bottom of the barrel than Okami is okay, but it put me to sleep. |

I worship at the altar of Rockstar Games,so I loved Bully. What didn't you like about Okami?I thought it was a bit simplistic for an RPG,but the mechanics & gameplay were really good. The story was only so-so but I give it high marks just for it's presentation,it's a gorgeous looking game.

I borrowed Okami from a friend about a week ago and all I can say is... Wow. I'm 28 hours in and I don't see when the end is coming. I love the story, characters, gameplay, graphics, everything.
My favorite game has been Ocarine of Time for a long, long time and I think I finally found the game that passes it in almost every element. The gist of OoT's story and general gameplay (compared to other Zeldas anyway) are fairly derivative but Okami avoids that. There are dungeons, yes, but they tend to be shorter and there isn't a group of items/characters you're looking for(like sages, crystals, etc.). The whole paintbrush idea is fantastic. It changes battles so much, especially with the variety of enemies. It's not just slashing with swords, it's using basic attacks along with powers you paint. It's also one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen. It's cel-shaded in a traditional Japanese style and it looks amazing. The movies that are shown when you restore an envrionment just astound me. Although it has a lot of similarities to Zelda (like Amaterasu's companion Issun being annoying like Navi) but it just surpasses it in every category. Except music. While very pleasant to the ears, you just can't beat a Zelda soundtrack. Edited by KeleCableII - July 20 2007 at 14:25 |

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (again, it's been a while... I'll get 2 after beating this)
and Panzer Dragoon Orta Might buy more cheap games soon, to hold me over until GTA4 and Halo 3 (although I'm way more excited about the former). |

Dont know Shadow..., bully doesnt really appeal to me and I really dont like games like Katamari. However, I absolutely addore the Gran Turismo games and love the Prince Of Persia series as well as Devil May Cry and God Of War. Zone Of The Enders was fun and the likes of Red Faction and Killzone are great. PS2 has plenty to offer. |

I'm getting really psyched for Assassin's Creed and Turok. Only a few more months...
In the meantime, I finally got Xbox Live working, so it's been Call of Duty 3 the past few days. Crazy stuff.

I love playing Call of Duty 3 online. Too bad my free month of online is over... That game rocks though online. |

So here's this giant enemy crab! ![]() I'm playing Lufia: Ruins Of Lore for GBA still, and about to attempt to tear into Tales Of The Tempest for Nintendo DS, but I'm a bit intimidated. It's a text-heavy Japanese RPG, and all I've got to get me through is a rough translation guide ![]() But mostly, I've been playing Yu-gi-oh: World Championship 2007 against Robby. I know, I know, it's Yu-gi-oh, but it's fun. I've never seen the show or played the card game, but playing the card game on the DS is kinda fun, lots of strategy. |

My gaming habits have changed a lot recently, I've cancelled my EVE Online subscription as I need to take a long break from it because it's simply not fun any more.
But on the plus side I bought Trackmania United via Steam recently and have become addicted to that, I'm also replaying Deus Ex for the first time in a couple of years. ![]() |
