Great race from Hamilton, again, and good to see him going wheel to wheel with Alonso at one point as well. Best US GP at Indy yet, I think.
And Audi win their seventh Le Mans 24 hours with the R10 turbo diesel, ahead of the Peugeot, but more importantly the British Rollentre Racing team came home 4th beating 2 Audis, a Peugeot and a Pescarolo and Aston finally beat Chevrolet.

Am i the only one who thinks Hamilton i way overrated, using a car a monkey could drive to 1st or 2nd place everytime anytime. Let's see how good a driver he would be in a sh*t car....i personally can' stand the tube, but if he was driving for red bull and winning i could se the point. Or is it because of his ethnic origin?

Ah yes a monkey could win races with McLaren but Raikkonen couldn't, tells a lot about our Finnish hero doesn't it ? ![LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) Still; Hamilton being consistently faster than Alonso with the same car tells quite a lot about him and therefore I don't think he's overrated at all. I haven't followed F1 for years but Hamilton seems to be the most interesting and talented young driver in many many years.

I don't think he's over rated.
Yea, he's in a car so good that a monkey could drive it....but wasn't MS? And no one, regardless of how you feel, denies his skill.

Probably. Sure he has probably the best car at present but he's out there doing it and he's not making mistakes. I'd like to see you take that car around the circuit at anything like his speed without visiting the crash barriers.
There are probably other drivers in the championship who could win races in that car but Hamilton has finished on the podium in every race. That's consistency and shows emotional maturity beyond his age.
I think he could win the championship this year and good luck to him.

Practice times from Magney-Course today: 1. MASSA Ferrari 1m15.453s
2. RAIKKONEN Ferrari 1m15.488s
3. SPEED Toro Rosso 1m15.773s
4. HAMILTON McLaren 1m15.780s
5. LIUZZI Toro Rosso 1m15.952s
6. COULTHARD Red Bull 1m15.958s
7. ROSBERG Williams 1m16.003s
8. ALONSO McLaren 1m16.049s
9. DAVIDSON Super Aguri 1m16.162s
10. SCHUMACHER Toyota 1m16.184s
11. FISICHELLA Renault 1m16.205s
12. KUBICA BMW 1m16.236s
13. WURZ Williams 1m16.260s
14. TRULLI Toyota 1m16.285s
15. BUTTON Honda 1m16.395s
16. WEBBER Red Bull 1m16.562s
17. KOVALAINEN Renault 1m16.735s
18. BARRICHELLO Honda 1m16.950s
19. HEIDFELD BMW 1m16.968s
20. SATO Super Aguri 1m17.165s
21. SUTIL Spyker 1m18.213s
22. ALBERS Spyker 1m18.708s
Looks like Ferrari's bouncing back and Indy suggested that Kimi is finally getting to grips with the car. Impressive performance by Speed, should be interesting to see if STR can keep this up. Heidfeld pulled out of the session early with back pain and may not take part in the race, which would mean Vettel could get a second race or even Timo Glock.
Last French GP to be held at Magney-Course this, and all I can say is good ridence to a dull track. Could be the last French GP for a while then until a new track is devised or up to standards. Possibilities seem to be adding grand stands to the Paul Ricard circuit in the south, a street track in a suburb of Paris or even a new track built at Disney Land Paris (I've heard of Micky Mouse tracks before but this is tacking it too far ).

It looks like the McLarens and Ferraris are equally matched this week, so hopefully a good race.

It'd be nice if Kubica could get a win soon. I've actually been pretty impressed with him, and the team.

Kubica is a good driver but he's had a lot of trouble adapting to the new bridgestone tyres this year, they dont suit his driving style at all, it was expected that he would wipe the floor with Heidfeld this season but it just hasnt happened, though Heidfeld has been supurb. Looks like Kubica is starting to come good this season.

Finally, Kimi gets another win.
Hamilton picks up yet another podium of course.
Congrats to Kubica on his 4th place drive, Fisichella on his 6th, and Button on his first point of the year...
Fernando......not so hot a race ![LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

At last Kimi won, i would also love if either Kubica or Heidfield could win, they, as drivers and as a team have been driving pretty well.

Decent race, Kimi still doesnt seem to be at his best but had Massa covered today, got to feel for Alonso today, battles hard with Heidfeld and finally gets passed him with a very ballsy move, only to find himself behind him again after the pit stops!
You know, if Honda ever started the season with a good car with no series flaws then they would be a real threat the way they seem to be able to develop a real dog of a car into a fast racer (Button matched the pace of both Renault and BMW today, shame he had to start so far back, and its the third year running they've had to do this!).
Great win for Robert Doornbos in Champ Car today at Mont Tremblont in Canada, when just about everybody else chucked it off the road in the rain. That puts him level with Bourdais in the championship now.
