My congrats goes to Giancarlo, Kubica, and Wurz (for their 4th, 5th, and 7th place finishes). And a rare look of dissapointment at Kimi. He may have gotten that one point, but he should not have been down so far to begin with....

This was one of the most boring GP Monaco I have ever watched. One more disappointing race by Kimi and Ferrari will concentrate its efforts in Massa.

Yeah, this time Kimi really did it by himself, breaking the car in qualifying... But he's confident still. I hope Ferrari is too.

I always heard Kimi's reliability problems were more about him, and not the car. Starting to wonder if that's true.
And I hope he does pick up again, IMO he's the best actual driver, in a Ferrari...I expect more.

It was a decent race at the front with both McLarens swapping fastest laps trying to win this. Brilliant race from Alonso, took everything Hamilton had to throw at him. Scott Speed had a great race, finishing 9th (not far behind Kimi I think) and outperforming both Coulthard and his much vaunted (and, IMO, overated) team mate Liuzzi. Should be interesting to see whether the McLarens can keep this pace in Montreal in two weeks.

Missed the end of the 500. I watched up until the rain delay, then I had to go out.
Was hoping Tony Kannan would win.

As for NASCAR: Casey Mears got his first ever cup win, and in a pretty cool ending which mixed up the finish order.

Franchitti won Indy 500, while the leaders went to pits, he in a wise decision mantained on the track and got the 1st position, also Marco Andretti had a terrible accident, fortunately it didnt have serious consequences.

Thats good news on both counts.Clap I was beginning to wonder whether Franchitti's run of being "almost their" would never end.

Just watched the replay of the race, (I missed the last half of it).
I was hoping Tony Kanaan would win, and I think he would have. If it wasn't for that pit stop, which put him in the position of that crash, he would have won IMO.
And as for "almost their" looks like Marco Andretti is filling that position now.

Glad he was alright, never like seeing open wheel cars skid upsidedown. That was a nasty crash.

I went to the HSCC meeting at Snetterton today, I'l have a look through the photos I took as see if any are good enough to be posted.

Anyway there was a good mix of racing with F2, F3, F5000, Formula Ford and Formula Junoirs plus some Jag XKs and the always brilliant Saloons (Cortinas, Mustang, Falcon, Alfas, minis etc)

The best race of the day was the first Formula Ford race which produced some great battles with the lead changing several times on most laps. Big%20smile

Yes! Finally, I knew Hamilton would win this time.
Funny, it seems like this win seemed sooo long in coming even though it's his 6th.

This was a crazy race. First, glad Kubica is alright after that wild crash.
Pretty dissapointed with Alonso and Kimi especially.
However, a great race for Hamilton in finally getting that win. Wurz in 3rd, Kovalainen in 4th, TAKUMA SATO in 6TH place! ShockedShockedShockedShocked Who passed Alonso.

This season has just been nuts.

I really am dissapointed with Kimi's performance. Could it be he is over rated??
