Bass has lately taken over the position of a main instrument from guitar, and I can play some drums too, but I don't own a kit (yet). I've been playing guitar for like six years and bass for the same time occasionally in music stores and in school, until about a year ago I finally bought one from a friend. Most people with about a year or two experience are just as good as me, I've never really cared about practicing, I've just played stuff I'm able to at the moment.

My main insturment is the bass guitar, but I'm also attempting the
piano, little bit of drums, and maybe someday I'll master the
orchestral bass as well! The only instrument I didn't care too
much for was the guitar. For somereason my fingers don't move in
that direction.

Acoustic guitar, quite awfully... By the way, to be honest, I've got a decent voice, and like singing... nevertheless, mine is a bass voice, and that's pretty useless in prog (as well as in rock in general...)

Drums first and foremost. I'm no Neil Peart, but I can hold my own quite well. As a matter of fact, I played off the cuff "Carry On Your Wayward Son" just the other day with a few good musicians. I was quite impressed at what I remembered, changes and all.
I also mess around with the acoustic and keyboards.

I have been playing Baritone and Tuba for 4 years, and the guitar for about 2.5 years. They are all awesome, and i am glad to see there are at least a couple tubaists on the site. To bad there isn't much Tuba in Rock and Roll though... |

I used to play guitar, both acoustic and electric. But I haven't played in the last few years (ended up emigrating without instrument). I also played the recorder a bit.
Recently I bought myself a bass guitar, so I've just started to learn how to play it. My guitar background obviously helps a lot. This is the one I got Edited by yngwin - June 07 2007 at 12:51 |

I play alto saxophone, a little bit of keyboard. A few years ago i also played clarinet. I haven't really tried singing but it looks like the band i'm starting up soon will have me on vocals . Good thing it will have lots of black metal influences

I'm one of many guitarists. I'm not overly brilliant as I am self-taught and I've gone straight to the difficult stuff so my progress is slower. I play a bit of piano too.

I play the piano, but I also sing. I'm learning to play the drums and the clarinet. I kind of wish that I could play the bass because every time I listen to ELP I envy Greg Lake!

I was teaching myself keyboards and acoustic 6-strings guitar about three or four years ago, but yet I'm not an absolute expert in none of both

I mostly play guitar, but I played first chair trombone in highschool. What I learned then set me up for a head start with guitar. I also play bass, but not as well as guitar. I consider my guitar playing abilities to be more than proficient...never played a gig, but everyone i've played with has told me I was good...one guy said 'he'd kill to be able to play like me'. One time I played with my father's buddy and he told me I was good. I've only been playing for 6 years, but like I said, I had somewhat of a musical background...a head start. I'm a lead guy, so I specialize in scales, though I know more than enough chords to get by!

I play guitar, bass, piano and a little thing called a Megatar. I can also carry a beat on a drum kit but am not creative enough on them to say I play drums.
