Sort of related to all of this, I beg your pardon on my ignorance if it has already happened or is in the works, but wouldn't it be obvious in a number of ways to have Porcupine Tree as the opener on the lastest Rush tour?

In Absentia was the album that got me into PT. I had Lightbulb Sun and was really trying get the feel for it. In Absentia helped "understand" what I needed to listen for.  Yes, it is a five-star album and I feel it has a lot of emotion.

To topic about PT and Rush touring together, I would highly doubt it because they are both such huge names in the Prog world but more realistically, Rush has since Test For Echo been doing 3 hour shows to simply fit it in as much music as they can for their fans. I wonder if they (Rush) have reached a stage such that they feel they would short change their fans by splitting the bill.  And how to choose material from such an extensive library!

I'm curious what SW feels about the outlying Rush releases he didn't address. It may very well match those of the average member here. I mean not that it matters, because our opinions belong to ourselves and really should not have an effect on others opinions.


Hey Tony, SW permitting, would a future interview be on the books for this web site? I think most members would find it very interesting.

I also don't think YHD is rubbish. Not at all. I like this Album quite.
But well, it is obvious that SW judges his own work with other eyes (or better said, other ears ) as we, normal folk with not musical knowledge do (speaking of course, just for me).
As for me, I can just judge the music with the heart; He surely judges is also a bit with the head, having to take care of thechnical details we don't havce a clue about.
The other factor, is that we all judge our own wor in a much severe way as others do...

I am not a Rush fan. For me, Rush music has nothing to do with PT music. If Rush and PT would have tour together I won't have go see this show at all ( I would not have been able to bring my husband to that show).
