Ever heard the Nina Hagen (former East German opera singer, defected to West to become a punk star) cover of White Punks on Dope? (sung in German, entitled, I think, "TV Glotzer") Wild! |

Peter - Do you have access to my record collection at all??? Richard/Peter: Although I didn't actually like them much, I actually saw The Tubes at The Beacon Theater in 1975. They were the craziest act I'd ever seen - and I'd seen some pretty crazy acts! (including Alex Harvey, Alice Cooper, and others). Got to have a beer with Quay (or is that "Mr. Lude?"...) after the show. He was actually a pretty neat, unexpectedly "normal" guy. Peace. |

My favorite non Prog band whilst growing up was Steppenwolf. John Kay's Growl, Goldie McJohn's hammond work was killer. Nick St. Nicholas on Bass, Jerry Edmonton slamming the Skins. THe only lead player I can remember was Mars Bonfire, but he only stuck around for a few albums. What about "Spirit" they came out with some pretty inspiring stuff. |

Peter: BTW, I think the reason I can't send you private messages is because you didn't set me as one of your "buddies." Wanted to say "good job" on your Amon Duul review. Peace. |

"Quay Lude's" (just a stage persona) real name (or at least band name) was/is Fee Waybill. He was a former roadie. Apparently somewhat of an extrovert on stage.... Thanks for the compliment Re the shades of the Moodies (get it? Blue lettering -- ain't I the clever one?) Regarding the problems with sending me Private Messages (which can be handy), I had put you on my "Buddies List" (you were the first), but the "status" part always indicated that you could not contact me. I may have done it wrong, though, because I have just now deleted then re-added your name, and now the computer indicates that you can message me! I'll send you one now, to test! |

Kiko was a very interesting album. Claptonesque at times. I need to break that one out again. Will the Wolf Survive? Great disc. |

Yes, Danbo ol' buddy, both are very good. My fave is "The Neighbourhood." One of the best rockin' electric blues-based bands in the U. S. of A., with Mexican-American/Latin flavours as well. Love the singer's voice -- very real and heart-felt! Their all-Latin EP is good too! Collossal Head is also great! |

Some of them yes...and I would say you're right...but some of them are really good...
I really like Opeth, like said before, it's one of my favorite non-prog bands or no, they are considered to be Prog some times...I heard or read words like 'Progressive Death Metal'
Katatonia is really nice to listen to, but not too long, I have their album 'Viva Emptiness' and it's not this kind of "this is no music to me" Death Metal
![]() And I have ALL 'My Dying Bride' albums, because I was a fan before I became a prog fan...really melancolic...
But for the rest you're right
![]() P.s. why do you all change your avatar all the time? I identify you by this picture and not by looking on the name, it's faster ![]() Edited by diddy |
