Tell me please someone, am I missing something here....The Cure? What's this guy on? Not withstanding that people are entitled to eclectic tastes, but this is ludicrous!

I'm leaving out the obvious (Genesis, Yes, PF etc) because they are too expensive anyway. So my choice would be

1th day: World Prog Rock
Nexus - Argentina
Bacamarte - Brazil
Omega - Hungary
Sigur Ros - Iceland

2nd day: Neo-Prog/Metal
Gazpacho - Norway
Marillion - UK
Arena - UK
Riverside - Poland

To be the one who seeks so I may find .. (Metallica)

DAY ONE:

WOBBLER
WHITE WILLOW
PAATOS
VAN DER GRAFF GENERATOR

DAY TWO:

RIVERSIDE
NEBELNEST
GUAPO
PORCUPINE TREE

I'd spend all of my money to see two days of shows like this!

If I break your rule about recent bands I would change the line up to this:

Day One-eliminate Paatos, and have a reunion of the original 1969 line-up of
King Crimson as the headliner.

Day Two-eliminate Guapo and have the REAL
Gabriel/Hackett Genesis as the headliner!

I'd go bankrupt to see a two day show like that!

Sorry but if I were ever lucky enough to be a millionaire, I don't intend to just waste it on a bunch of unknown's that wouldn't raise a ripple on the media scale...no, I would create a televised prog extravoganza along the lines of Live Aid, that a) Has the world reknown giants that are household names, with enough talent and appeal in the current day names to raise the profile of today's Prog music...so a mass audience go out and buy their albums...and b) I'd hopefully I'd make a profit on advertising, sponsorship, and TV rights...and then start building on the success, repeating it every two years, and maybe even creating a record company to develope this genre back to what it was 30 years ago!....all that, and I'm a rule breaker!...grins

Sorry guys!...this has to be a three day weekender with day 3 on a national holiday Monday!

In performance order for each day, with headliners at the top:

Legends of Prog Festival

Day 1
=====
Pink Floyd
ELP (Well, seeing as Greg is here for Day 2, Keith and Carl surely couldn't resist it!)
Porcupine Tree
Frost (Our of retirement for a one off concert!)

Day 2
=====
Yes
King Crimson
Flower Kings
It Bites (provided they could persuade Francis Dunnery to return!)

Day 3
=====
Genesis
Spock's Beard (with featuring a special return of Neal)
Rush (but only if they do the entire Moving Pictures set!...having said that, I can see an arguement breaking out between SB and Rush as to who gets 2nd spot on this day..grins)
Magic Pie
