Don't believe too much in Massa... I'm just waiting the arrival of 2 other guys, one is named Senna and the other Piquet. |
I dont know about Senna, he lacks a lot of experience to the other drivers as he never did karting (most people will have done as much as 1000 races in a kart before they step up to cars!), could cost him in th elong run.
As for Piquet, hes damn fast and now a Renault test driver. Fisichella's replacment for next year maybe?
|
Poor Fisichela... but actually that is not far from the truth, Piquet is a very promising driver

He was 19th at Daytona with a busted 'box, he was 3rd on his ARCA debut last year (after qualifying 2nd and leading for part of the race) and is the 99 Champ Car World Series champion (back when a third of the calander was ovals) and the 2000 Indy 500 winner, so far his only attempt. He knows how to drive ovals but its going to take him several races, at least, before he gets fully up to speed in the Nextel Cup.

But don't forget that anybody and their brother can win in a Ganassi car. It will be an embarrassment if doesnt score an oval win this year, especially with all the hype around him.

I thought Ganassi were only a mid grid team in NASCAR, not one of the big name teams?

OK, I think we've come to about the end of my knowledge on NASCAR now, but I still reckon Montoya will get to the top at some point.

Put Schumy Jr. in a Ferrari and let's see what he can do, eh? He's not had the opportunity to prove himself really.
Barrichello is a better driver than Ralf though, I believe.

Montoya is not one of the best Oval drivers at all, he is not bad either, but anyway he could have better results in further races...
Those first practise times make me think that Ferrari is strong and want the team´s title this time..

Ralf has had his chance at a title challenge and didnt even get close (in the Williams in 2003), were as Montoya would have won that year if engine failures hadnt cost him 2 wins. He's generally a quick driver but has far too many off days and is excruciatingly slow on them. He's in the Toyota because they pay him about £12 million a year (I think he;s the second highest payed driver behind Raikkonnen). Wurz did a damn good job in the Williams as third driver last year so replaces Weber for this year.

2. ALONSO McLaren
3. HEIDFELD BMW
4. HAMILTON McLaren
5. KUBICA BMW
6. FISICHELLA Renault
7. WEBBER Red Bull
8. TRULLI Toyota

So Fernando will share the first row with Kimi, i think Alonso will win this first race...nice to see both BMW drivers within the top 5, though.
