Where to buy older cd's

Good guy with wide range and as reliable as they come. He has a reputaion second to none and it is well deserved.

 

Another top guy is Malcolm Parker, here in the UK. I'm not sure about shipping to Oz but again, another friendly, reliable supplier (he also owns the label Cyclops).

 

 

What I woud add is that you should, like all purchasing, shop around. I use, amongst other things, a search tool - there may be an equivalent in Oz - take a look at the link for the concept..

 

 

I concur with that - under NO circumstances should you, or anyone else, EVER use a large record chain. They buy large quantities with huge discounts from the record label (for bulk buying) which is NEVER passed on to the consumer. This also means that the small, independent labels have to sell their goods at a reduced price to the chain  thus cutting their profit. I say profit but that's relative as many prog labels are on the financial knife-edge. That's the more covert side of the chain shopping experience. The most obvious factors for choosing independants are choice (from a prog perspective), personal service and cost - they are always cheaper, even when shipping is taken into account (again the Oz caveat must be applied here as I have no idea about shipping there).
