The wife bought a new desktop today with a 19" wide screen monitor. Now all websites are slightly elongated to fit the wide screen. Any suggestions how we can prevent this from happening?

Why would you want to prevent it?

Because my wife is an artist, and works a lot with pictures. These should remain their original shape.

I don't think the shape of the pictures is supposed to change, that's never happened to me. Maybe you can prevent it in the monitor settings?

You need to change the screen resolution in the display settings. Your display probably has a resolution of 1280x720 or 1680x1050.Smile

Yes, thanks, just found that out.... after we swopped the monitors. I now have a shiny new 19" widescreen. Smile
