The wife bought a new desktop today with a 19" wide screen monitor. Now
all websites are slightly elongated to fit the wide screen. Any

Because my wife is an artist, and works a lot with pictures. These should remain their original shape.

You need to change the screen resolution in the display settings. Your display probably has a resolution of 1280x720 or 1680x1050.

Yes, thanks, just found that out.... after we swopped the monitors. I now have a shiny new 19" widescreen.

if the screen resolution is set correctly nothing will be "stretched"
