In the ancient Hellas the slaying of dolphins had the same legal consequences as murder/manslaughter. Now, they are massacred for pet food and ferrtilizer. And they say it's a cultural tradition.I would support a legislation which punishes the slaying or tormenting of dolphins, whales and apes in harder, than the usual animal abuses are get punished.
That kind of law will maybe passed in Spain, which gives a lot more protection to chimps ,bonobos gorillas, orangs. This law would give rights to them, what would be really groundbreaking.

^Can someone say "oversensative".
I've never heard that term used in a derogatory manner, as for the other terms I wont post them because they are ment to be offensive and its against forum rules, and completely pointless too. I've noticed you've only joined today and allready your trying to cause trouble in Cuncuna's thread and the VR. Edited by sleeper - November 24 2006 at 10:48 |

JapFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jap (variants: Japo, Japse) is a term denoting anything Japanese. In most English-speaking countries, it is accepted that it is a derogatory racial slur similar to the term nigger when referring to dark skinned people. The three-letter and two-letter international country code (ISO 3166) for Japan, JPN and JP, are commonly used for the abbreviation of Japan. In some countries, such as Australia, it is still used today to such an extent that school teachers sometimes refer to the Japanese language or people as "Jap(s)"[citation needed]. In Britain it is considered mildly inappropriate but not a serious insult (cf Paki which is grossly offensive in British English yet not uncommon as a ethnic description in the United States). In Japanese dictionaries, the term "Jap" is only defined as a disparaging term used against the Japanese people, like it is the case in many English language dictionaries.[1][2] |

Strange that, I'm British and I havnt heard it being used as an insult but just as an abreviated form of Japanese. Do you consider it a racial slur? |

Very much so. I don't want to sound like a bleedin' hippy but if you were using this word whilst walking around Osaka late at night it would be the quickest way to lose some teeth |

Bah, a petition has never accomplished anything. I still signed it, but it's a waste of time.
