From a new memeber:
Yes-Close To The Edge
Genesis-Selling England By The Pound
Pink Floyd-Dark Side Of The Moon
Yes-Relayer
King Crimson-In The Court of The Crimson King
Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here
Renaissance-Scheherazade and Other Stories
Supertramp-The Crime of The Century
ELP-Brain Salad Surgery
Jethro Tull-Aqualung
Jethro Tull-Thick As A Brick
Yes-The Yes Album
It may seem a bit heavy on Yes but I guess that is why they are the best. Without them, this website would not exist.

These are not what I consider to be the greatest or most important (whatever criteria one
uses to try to determine greatness -- influence, popularity...), these are just twelve of my favourites off the top of my head... I decided to
limit my choices to one album per band, and there are many other bands I'd like to
list (as well as alternate albums per band). In no particular order...
Gentle Giant - Acquiring the Taste
Focus - Hamburger Concerto
Gryphon - Midnight Mushrumps
PFM - Per un Amico
Bacamarte - Depois do Fim
Le Orme - Contrappunti
Carpe Diem - Ceuille le Jour
The Enid - In the Region of the Summer
Stars
Renaissance - Sheherazade and Other
Stories
Camel - The Snow Goose Kotebel - Omphalos (for something new) Maneige - Les Porches
