I haven't heard it, but Genesis meets Eloy sounds interesting. I only want to know if it's the same "Genesis" sound on their first album, which didn't sound much like Genesis (or very good, for that matter).

Eloy sounds like a premature neo-prog band indeed, but so did the Moody Blues.
if you want you can hear a connection between neo-prog and Eloy, but I don't think it's a drirect influence, rather a coincidence and similar influences (Moody Blues and Pink Floyd mostly)
For me Clutching sound more like a cross between The Who and Moody Blues, with some floydian elements and of course a little Tony Banks, but I haven't heard the album for some years now.
