The race for 1000 reviews is hotting up. Hugues is also on track to break the 2000 revews around the same time.
The current state of play is:
So who's you're money on? Will Sean Trane reach 2000 reviews before any of the other three reach 1000? Which of Loserboy (the mysterious James Unger), Erik and Gatot will reach 1000 reviews first? Will they get there before Sean Trane has done 2000? This is not a popularity contest by the way!

I think Sean is running out of albums to review (I could be wrong though?), so my money is on Erik!

James doesn't post reviews that often any more. Hughes need to step it up (really, only 1714 reviews ). It looks like it's going to come down to Gatot and Erik. I'll wait to see what happens after they have seen this thread to decide.

Good luck! can I enter the poll as 500? well, easiest assumption is Erik, who writes on a daily basis (and doing that in relatively 200 words per review, it's common sense to say he's the easy worker and the fast typist). I would however want Gatot to "win the challenge". He publishes review less often, but when, he does it very comprehensive and within an entire bulk. attention however to loserboy; he came once in august with about 50 or 60 reviews. If he does that three more times (and relatively in short time), he's the winner. as for Hugues...uhm... someone from behind could luckily be you, Bob (Easy ). why not? Haha, just noticed this thread, what a nice surprise Bob
Since early 2004 I write reviews for Prog Archives and I remember vividly that Prog Archives started to publish that 'MacDonald's like' reviewers competition. I had mixed feelings about it: on one hand I don't like that kind of competition, on the other hand it's a nice boost and ego-gratification
Personally I have great respect for Gatot and we know each other, sometimes we have contact via PM or via threads (like Led Zep). Our reviews are totally different: I am more focussed on giving information about lesser known bands with a restriction in the amount of words, Gatot prefers to write more extended reviews about his favorite bands with a wonderful personal touch. And I post more frequently with 2 or 3 reviews and Gatot post less frequently but then 5-6 or even more! And don't underestimate Loserboy because he suddenly appears with an amazingly large post so ... the tension is building
By the way, Sean is manipulating this site by adding lots of mediocre bands like Santana and then posting 10 reviews ...

I think Gatot will hit the milenium first, though it doesnt matter as they all give good reviews.

I think Erik to win this, he's motivated because of this thrread and when Led Zepp is added he'll have them finished shortly I think. let the race continue and the best reviewer needn't win, for he'll be appreciated anyway.
