I just thought it would be fun to know who plays what in this forum.  This thread could also be fun as a place to discuss our instrument with others who play that instrument.  I play drums and piano.  I take both quite seriously and practice both pretty often and vigorously.

And you?

Guitar and piano. I used to play violin. I own an Epiphone Les Paul, and I play the blues! (and rock and prog and attempted jazz).

I'm primarily a guitarist. I've got an Ibanez Gio and an Epiphone "Basher" LP, in addition to a Washburn acoustic 12-string. Primarily, I play the Washburn simply because 12-string guitars make me grin like an idiot. I've also been known to sing from time to time.

Piano: Studied some years but didn't had the patience or maybe the talent.
Drums: That is where I was strong, played in amateit¿r bands but the University got in the moiddel of my career.
Quena: A few months ago I started to learn the pentaphonic peruvian wooden flute and I'm advancing very fast, it's simple and melancholic, very sweet instrument.

Well, I wanted to be like my progressive hero, so I started playing, er, the recorder. I've taught myself some parts of Thick as a Brick, Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, Solsbury Hil...um, and many more.

But, on top of that, I play (classical) guitar, ukelele (I'm quite good at that, they tell me), and I'm one hell of a whistler (now THAT was inspiried by Ian).

But seriously, I'm a guitarist who can play bass, and I could play recorder a while back.

I play classical guitar, I have had one year lessons when I was at about 20 years old (I am from 1960). Ten years ago I had 10 flamenco guitar lessons because flamenco is my passion and now I can play a little bit but I am happy with that Approve I am on the brink of buying a Western guitar, mainly because of the sound while playing rhythm guitar. I also play a few chords on the piano because I love the sound of the Grand piano Heart it's so warm and expressive, you can put so much from yourself in it (unfortunately I miss the skills to do that ..)

People that can play the organ really impress me.  Now, playing a keyboard with an electric organ sound is one thing, but playing the real Hammond organ with two sets of keys and foot pedals--that's very impressive.  Real Hammond Organs cost a whole lot of money, though...
