Hi there folks
we're in the middle of setting up a tribute page to Boz Burrell singer and bassist with King Crimson, who died yesterday. The page also features a remix of Ladies of the Road which was done for the Frame By Frame boxset but was unused. It would be great if you could leave some of your thoughts, memories and observations about Boz over there as well as here. Also there's a news update about Boz's death which clarifies the earlier sketchy post when the news first broke |

Very sad news indeed. Islands is one of my favorite King Crimson albums. I really enjoy Boz's bass and vocal contributions.
RIP! |

This is sad news, I must agree with other posters, that he was my favorite KC singer.
This makes Islands a more poignant album. Everyone should listen to Islands this weekend just as we all listned to Wish You Were Here when Syd Barret passed away.

Sad to hear. He seems not to have suffered, though.
I wonder how old he was.

I just checked and he was born in 1946, which means he passed away at 60. Far too young. |

Not heard Islands yet but his passing is saddening to me, no one should die that young.
RIP |

I just got a copy of Islands yesterday, and enjoyed it for the first time without knowing this. Wow...
Much sadness. He sounded most excellent. |

Sad news. Islands was the first King Crimson album I heard, and what a great introduction it was.

Sad indeed. But Islands remains my less favorite KC album, however.

Bass player Boz Burrell was a member of one of my favourite rock bands "Bad Company" with Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke and Mick Ralphs (Mott the Hoople), and managed by Peter Grant - formed from the ashes of Free they made some great albums - "Bad Company" 1974 debut,( included rock classic "Can't Get Enough"), "Straight Shooter", "Run With the Pack", "Burnin Sky","Rough Diamonds" and "Desolation Angels". Very sad he's gone to the GGITS.

Very sad news. Island is my favorite KC album and his singing was very emotional on Island (song). Lets hope he's on a better place now.

This is bizarre, but I was listening to The 'Original' Bad Co. Anthology when I ran across this thread.
Rest easy Boz.....

dropping like flies
More remebered for his Bad Company days, where he stood not a chance against Paul rodgers in the vocals dept.
