How many bands have covered a song by Kansas?
I know of three that have covered "Carry On Wayward Son"
Dream Theater-Really badly done and speeded up version (off A change of seasons)
Yngwie Malmsteen-Probably the best cover I have heard (off the album "Inspiration")

And the third one is from these three girls, excellent harmonies and no instruments!!

Also numerous bands have done "Dust in the wind"
Scorpions did an acoustic version of this song.

That was pretty damn awesome.

I dont know any other bands though
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Some rap guy named DJ Z-Trip did 'Dust in the Wind' as well.

Foo Fighters did "Carry On". Vanden Plas did "Point of Know Return". And Erik Norlander did "The Wall" with Lana Lane on her Covers Collection.

According to Wikipedia DT did "Paradox" as well, but I've never heard it.

On her "Harem" tour, Sarah Brightman covered "Dust in the Wind" (as well as "A Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procul Harum).  It's rather nice, I think.

Vanden Plas did a pretty Censoreding awesome cover of "Point of Know Return" as a bonus track on their Beyond Daylight album.  Better than the original IMO!

A legendary band like Kansas is bound to have some bands “cover” them. I think I’ve heard about 2 or 3 mutated versions of both Dust in the Wind and Carry on Wayward Son.
