Though I've never smoked, I dread to think how much I cigarette smoke I have inhaled through passive smoking. Sitting on the top deck of buses, drinking in the pub with friends, even in a working environment.
Thankfully, Scotland has now banned smoking in all enclosed public places. What a difference.

I have no clue when it comes to the whole second hand smoke thing...but I pray that it DOSN'T cause much harm. I used to stop and chat everyday with a friend of mine who smoked, there would be wiffs of smoke coming out of my mouth when I spoke. lol
Smoking has been banned in public places where I live to and it is really different, especially in restaurants. Oh and to answer the question, No I have never smoked once.....guess I'm just a square as well.

I have smoked since I was 16 an average about 10-15 cigarettes per day. I quit for good on 1 may 2004, after reading (don't laugh at me!) a book called "Easy Way to Quit Smoking" by certain J. Carr. I know, it sounds rediculous, but anyway, I don't and never will smoke again anything (not only tobacco) because it makes me disgust. You call it auto-suggestion, placebo, willpower, faith or whatever but it helped me.

Only when I'm with freinds and one is offered, I have never bought any for myself.
Everyone once and a while I have a small crave for one but I don't let it get to me.
My favorite kind are Camel wides. Such a great taste.

"Have you gotten any cigarettes..." Good song!
Anyway, I don't smoke and don't plan on ever doing so.

If you want a good song on the subject, what about "Cigarettes" by City Boy (a musch underestimated & relatively unknown band) on "Book Early".
"Cigarettes that you leave unlit
Just a trace of lipstick on the filter tip
Cigarettes that you leave unlit
You'd better smoke it - before you choke on it!"
(from memory)

Used to smoke North State, Lucky Strikes and Chesterfield, quit ten years ago (has few slips few years ago whilst being too drunk). It's a stupid habit, getting a stronger addiction than from most of the drugs, and not even getting the highs or any visions out of it.

As I was a child, I tried a cigarette and I nearly puked.
But that that doesn't count, right?
But since that day, I have never smoked any cigarette again and I'm sure I won't do it again in my life...
Anyway, I also don't drink more than one or two beers...
Why all that? Because drugs are bad! (no seriously guys, that's the truth )

Unfortunately yes I smoke cigarettes. I am 41 years old now and have been smoking since I was about 15. It is a horrible habit and I advise anyone who doesnt smoke now to keep it that way. |
I'm afraid I'm sadder than you - I'm 43, and was a vehement anti smoker until aged 25, when I started one night through boredom (long story...); probably the worst decision I ever made in my life!
Actually, as it's lunchtime & sunny, I think I'll just nip out of the office for a few minutes...

I used to smoke but quit, now I see how stupid it was (no offence smokers )
It wasnt healthy for myself and the people around me, all my clothes smelled awful, and cigs are pretty expensive here as well, so you need a job if you want to smoke haha!

I don't buy them, but if I am with people and they are free, then I sometimes go for it. I prefer cloves to tobacco, well pretty much anything to tobacco really.
