I haven't heard all styles listed, but of those I have heard Neo Prog
interests me the least. However, it is important to respect all music, regardless of genre.

I think to hate a whole genre is a bit ridiculous, maybe a few artists in each genre.

Third Ear Band I found thoroughly unlistenable; therefore it has to be indo-prog. bag of sh*te.

I like most of what Dreamtheater has done, but I have found little else in the progmetal genre that I have liked. Which is odd, because I love (early) Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Motorhead etc etc etc...having said that, I DO believe Iron Maiden are borderline prog, especially 'Somewhere in time' ('Alexander the great' is PURE prog), 'Seventh son..' and 'Powerslave'.

I voted for Neo, New Symphonic was calling my name but it seemed to be too undefined for me to place a vote for. It's not that I hate Neo-prog, it just tends to not be adventorous enough for me.

That would be a great twist if Jon Anderson was a closet satanist

and by the way i'll back tool as beign a great band and not satanic. just because they don't like jesus doesn't mean they run around burning crosses and yelling satanic german chants. that's for bands like yes to do.

I love prog metal... |
I kind of mentioned it earlier on this thread, I don't thik all prog metal or prog metal as a genre is satanic, just according to what I've heard from hearsay, and also some groups like tool give that impression of being satanic. |
Tool is an average group....but not satanic!

(This Question is answered much easier than the question which genre I like most, as I love nearly all of them especially RIO, Fusion, Psychedelic, Canterbury..)
Neo Prog Definitely
I can´t think of one Neo Prog Band that impressed me and I am even wondering what is so "progressive" about this genre....
My second Vote would be Prog Metal but here I know some exceptions (Liquid Tension Experiment (which I consider to be Jazz Rock/Fusion) and Dream Theater (But only the Scenes from a memory album)) like someone else said i cannot really see, why some bands are PROG Metal and not Heavy Metal
I also don´t like some Art Rock Bands and nearly everything recorded in the 80´s or in the early 90´s
