Yes. ELP one of the few seventies prog band I can't listen to.
Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

Both bands are awesome but in the end.........ELP
There is so much more diversity in each of their songs and albums.

Are you going to match all the bands in the P.A and ask which we prefer?

I suggest you to make a thread about it, but giving a list of band you want us to rate, and then ask us to order in preference terms.

I can't vote for either, because I love them both. Yes are probably more consistent in their output, but some things by ELP are among the absolute masterpieces of prog.

Yes.
I do enjoy Emerson, Lake and Palmer every now and then but I tire of them real fast for some reason.

wow.... a tough one...........

a  fan of both...

IF I had to choose.... as much I as enjoy  Yes.... find ELP more interesting.... everything from the music.. to the group dynamics and history of the group, and respect their innovation and influence within the genre ... plus I think Emerson and Palmer amoung the very tops in the genre at their respective instruments... while Yes appeals to me greatly on a spiritual and intellectual level.... ELP is just fun as hell to listen to.
