No i know lengthwise it wouldn't be longer than the longest song, but i meant there'd be so much sh*t going on that the comp would freeze.

If you mixed down 10000 mp3s into one mp3 - it isn't going to be any bigger in bytes than the longest mp3. It dosn't matter how much is "happening" its all about the bitrate of the song. There is only a certain amount of bytes per second being processed regardless of what is "happening". Everything on the same frequency would just cancel out and you're left with one solid block of noise.

Now, I'm just trying this:

I notcied there is the same segment of music (the very brief heavy segment with triplets, if that makes sense) in each part of Wings, and they both occur about two minutes before the end of both tracks. So I'm thinking the sync actualyl starts with Viginti Tres, and ends with Wings Pt. 1. I'm about 3 minutes into it right now, and I think it's much better than the original suggestion.

Edit: After listening to this once through, I think it works. The heavy part and the vocal melodies toward the end sync. I don't think on my first time I got it perfectly, but it made enough sense to me. Try it out!

I wonder if this can possibly top the guy randomly screaming "TIMMY!" on "Right in Two".

Stop killing my dreams! Although in retrospect you're right. But it'll be a really complicated sound brick, won't it

As if the reviews didn't made me want to buy the cd, now It has a big secret behind the fillers to make things better! Friday will be the day I'll buy the album. I can't control the hype of other people. It's contagious! Wacko Pinch

Ha! Don't worry. The little "synch" thing is not even close to the best part of the album. And don't be put off, it's definitely a grower. "Rosetta Stoned" for all its weirdness is a good, wellrounded track, Right in Two is good societal commentary *and good music*, and Vicarious is just plain good. Plus, I still can't calculate what the hell Jambi is in!

It seems like the song was intended to be synchronized in either order of the 2 songs ... but it may fit better with the virgini Tres put first. So, the song sounds even better now!

Yeah ... It seems like I gave Tool a few dozen bucks with this little thread lol. Definitively get this album. I am not a tool fanboy at all, I am just impressed at the artistic beauty it holds.

Holy crap, I got it as one track, and wow this is sick.  I wish I could upload it online for everyone to have but I think it's illegal.

If you want info on how to make it, hit me up on AIM.

All very interesting. But I can't help wondering why Tool would bother to separate the three tracks when they could have simply combined them in production.!!! I think the 3 tracks are mean't to be separate, period. However, there is nothing wrong in adding to the hype around a great album - cheers!

I read on another site that it does actually start with Viginti Tres.  I think I'm gonna try it that way, even though I already did it with Part 1 first and it seemed to work.  Hey, maybe it will work both ways. Wink

The reason why they're separated IMNSHO is because they're pretentious enough to do it.
