what do you play your CD’s on...?

I listen on a Sony SACD player it's OK and only cost 300 quid. I also have 2 CD Audio recorders one a philips and the other a Sony.

It's off-topic, but ... silver actually has a much better conductivity than gold. Gold has better resistance to corrosion, so silver is usually used for the wire itself, and gold for the connectors. But unless you connect-disconnect the cables daily or hourly, there is absolutely no difference between a gold-plated connector with 1 layer or with 100 layers.

BTW: The conductivity of gold is even worse than copper, so in theory a copper connector in good condition will sound better than any gold connector.
