Seeing XIII  reminded me...

Has anyone played that game Viewtiful Joe? I never got it, because it looked horrible to me. However, it always got great reviews but I don't know anyone whos played it.

System inquiry here

My xBox recently crapped out on me.  By that I mean it no longer reads discs of games, dvds, cds, and etc.  I've tried using the popular laser lens cleaner discs, but they are to no avail.  This is suprising to me given xBox's sterling reputation of building quality systems.  Have any of you had a problem of this magnitude with your xBox?

Wow, three PS2's, that's a lot of hardware.  I myself have gone through 4 in 5 years.

I love RPG's but imo nothing beats the GTA series, especially San Andreas.I got it the day it came out and I still play it regularly.

I can't pick a favorite. I like the enviornment and feeling of GTAIII best, but VC was the most fun for me, and San Andreas is very different from the rest. They are all great.

I loved the feel of Liberty City in III,it reminds me of my city sorta(Baltimore),but Vice City was the one I REALLY got caught up in because I spent some great years(from 14-24 years of age)in the 80's and everything in that game was a nostalgia trip for me.

I agree SA is very different from the rest but I love the freedom of an entire state, and I like how they added some RPG elements to the game(eating, leveling up weapons and driving/flying/cycling/boating skill,etc.).

Yea, all the new things were a nice additon. Also San Andreas is so huge, it's fun just to explore.

III   Reminds you of Baltimore eh? I guess it can represent any city..I've heard LA, Chicago but personally, it reminded me of New York City, just 20 minutes from where I live. I think that's probably because one area of the game was called Trenton...the capitol of my home state.

I dont know.  Two is pretty darn good.  In fact there are some things i miss from two.  I like them both equally.

People complain about III, I think it's awesome.

I don't have a problem with the game.  It is just that 2 was my favorite game.  I actually am starting to love 3.  What is your favorite civilization by the way?  I like the Germans, Ottomons, and Spanish.

I just got my latest edition of GamePro, featuring the '05 awards.  It really seemed like a week year for video games.  Resident Evil got most of the awards. What I can't believe is how X-Men beat out Dragonquest for best RPG.  That just doesn't make any sense to me.

IS SUPER MARIO RPG SAFE????

 GAMING THREAD-PROG ARCHIVES
Recent reports show increased needs for veterean gamers to return to the old days of SNES and Mario, not world, not three, but RPG.  Top GameTologists have concluded that the need to play SNES Mario RPG may be a leading cause of diabetes, blindness, erectile disfuction, and plaque.  The plaque is crucial because there is no dentist on ProgArchives.  Other reports from a doctor AtLossForWords express that the need for SNES Mario RPG is retroactive and degenerative.  The graphics and sound of Mario RPG can only get worse compared other other games and systems.  Dr. AtLossForWords reccomends playing N64 as a safe alternative to SNES.

X-Men Legends II?????????????????????

I'm stunned. The first one and the sequel are good games, they remind me of Gauntlet Legends as far as the game style.

But nothing I played in 2005 beat Dragonquest VIII.GREAT RPG.

Yes, it's X-Men Legends II.

I haven't played it.  I did like Gaunlet Legends though.  Very bland, but at the same time a very amusing game.  The remakes for Gamecube and PS2 were even better than the original on N64.  My friend and I used to have a blast playing through that game.
