Alain Markusfeld/Le son tombé du ciel (1971)
is an unknown gem.

There's a 10mn piece which is an absolute spacerock masterpiece. Somewhat closed to PF and Agitation free!!




Here's what GEPR says about Alain Marksufeld:


"Markusfeld, Alain [France]
Le Monde En Etages (70), Le Son Tombe Du Ciel (71), Le Desert Noir (77), Platock (78), Contemporus (79), Live (80)

French guitarist/multi-instrumentalist, very unique. His albums blend multi- layered acoustic guitars with fiery leads, piano, ethereal female voices, throbbing bass and percussion. His guitar style could be described as early Larry Coryell (acoustic) meets Randy California (electric) with a strong middle-eastern influence. Le Desert Noir is a heavier guitar album which features drums on almost every track, overall very hendrix influenced. With Platock, there is more maturity in his sound, combining delicate acoustic guitars and more piano to his trademark sound, with less reliance on drums. Contemporus attempts to continue in the same vein, but fails to reach the same energy level, except possibly on the sidelong "Contemporus" suite. Start with Platock, which most will agree is his best. First two releases are very rare. "

Nobody here voted for MAGMA's "Kobaia"; in my opinion it's not a bad album, it contains excellent jazz-rock songs inspired to SOFT MACHINE. From the next album "1001° Centigrades" the famous MAGMA style took shape; the music is more complex and menacing, rich of bizarre polyrhythmics, obsessive and ominous, especially in the emphatic vocalizations.

it's the one Magma album my wife can stay in the same room to....(not a prog fan hahaha)

I think she likes Aurae... though I've seen her run for the door at the beginning of Stoah hahahahhha.

No, i don't know them.

I have the two albums on tapes (recorded from vinyl) and ripped them on CD, (because they've never been re-released on CD) 
IMHO "Et après" is very good, "L'écume des jours" is weaker.
I think they should be in PA but unfortunately, i've no biography information except the line-up and the covers jpeg !

If it's enough to include them, let me know i'll send you line-ups, jpegs and a mp3 file.

I could suggest a band called "Osm'oz" too, biography on the official site : http://www.osmoz.net

"The Lost Frontier", "Odyssees", and the "Claude Monet" series are terrific albums!
