As Erik Neuteboom did with his "Spanish Prog" poll, here you can choose 3 or 5 albums that you like.

I do not know Shylock and Dun, and I do not like Heldon and Jean-Michel Jarre. All others in this list are among my favourites. As long as I can vote only for one - I voted for Asia Minor, as it is not likely that majority would share my enthusiasm about this particular band. |

you should try to find a copy of Ose - Adonia, it
sounds like Cluster meets Fripp and to me is the best recording Richard Pinhas participated in outside of Lard Free, which it compares with. For all you Lard Heads! and Travelling and Triode still dont make your list???? whats up! Dun - Eros is one of the best albums released anywhere in the world from the 1980's. Edited by DallasBryan |

At the moment TAAL is my absolutely favourite band - the best one, and, frankly I cannot see any competitors for my Number One for the time being. But here, I think, we are talking about much earlier stuff - 70's or so prog from France?! |

I could just list Magma's entire 70s output, but there was a lot of other great music in France at the time. |

Sandrose their eponymous album: wonderful female vocals, lush Mellotron waves and excellent guitar work! Other good albums are Don Giovanni by Versailles and Still Dream by Edhels. New great French progrock bands are Maldoror and Nemo, check them out! |

I have to check out most of those bands, but I love Magma, Dun, Taal and Jean-Luc Ponty. Taal isn't on the list, so I will vote for MDK, and Eros is a close runner up.

I am not too familiar with these but I think they are worth a mention: Memoriance, Etron Fou, Eskaton, Zao What do you think? |

And what about SANDROSE? BTW- Memoriance is not listed on PA. It is a very obscure band and I have not heard much about it and heard only two (one and a half) song by them very long ago. They released two albums (symphonic style): Et Apres 1976, L'Ecume des Jours 1979 I am not in a position to suggest to add them. Does anyone (HMM...DallasBryan, Erik, ANDREW...HMM) know them? |

Eskaton - 4 Visions is very good, comparable with Dun - Eros with french vocals, as I remember. I heard one of the Memoriance albums but it was at least 12-15 years ago, remember it as top notch but I cant remember the title, think it was one of the above you listed. Zao is a little more fusion with Zeuhl tendancies. Kawana and Sherika are the best, though not up to par with Dun's, Eskaton's or maybe keyboardist Patrick Gauthier's Bebe Guerilla.
