Ok, fair choice but where is DT? Surely their album is better than VDGG! I know there have been some other bands like Pagan's mind and Shadow gallery, Biomechanical, Co&Ca, Angra and John Petrucci that may not be included but defently DT should be in the top 5! |

The Black Halo should've definitely made this list in my opinion. Masterpiece. I would like to say Octavarium, but it's too widely debated about whether it's really a "great" album or not. |

Motions of Desire is my favorite album of 2005 without a doubt.

I don't think so. Octavarium is a mediocre Dream Theater album. Both Volta and VDGG far surpassed Octavarium in my book. |

Hmmm, none of those would make my top 5 (or probably even 10). Although I am unfamiliar with a couple of them, Wobbler for instance, though I am quite interested in hearing them. I've noticed a definite Metal leaning of most of the people who say they listen to prog. Which is totally fine, but where are all the symphonic nuts? In my opinion Glass Hammer was very slighted in this list. The musicianship alone puts them far above Porcupine Tree. And I like Porcupine Tree, don't get me wrong, but they don't hold a candle as far a musicianship is concerned, again in my humble opinion. I am upset, but not surprised, to see some excellent albums missing. Mimi's Magic Moment by Salem Hill Welcome Humans by Thirteen of Everything Fortunate Observer of Time by Frogg Cafe

Only heard TMV Frances and Deadloss sorry Deadwing by Porcupine 'we hate prog' Tree. IMHO there is a big difference and Frances is the standout album. Deadloss erm sorry wing is ok and has it's moments but am i the only person to find it a bit dreary? I wouls not be surprised that in the future the PT album the lostdead sorry lostwing no,no, dead wing will be revised downwards and that Frances will be hailed as a classic. It took Vivaldi 200 years to be recognised so theres plenty of time. |

I own the number one favourite "Deadwing". The others I have not yet heard. "Deadwing" is a well chosen number one and I dare say that the others are all up there, however, I would like to have seen Glass Hammers' "The Inconsolable Secret" and Kate Bush's "Aerial" further up the ranks.

I'm amazed at the number of people that have said that Octavarium deserves to be in the top 5, this is the worst album that they have released from the 6 that I have and I cant see FII and WDADU being worse from the few songs that I've heard. BTW is there a list for 2004 as well. |

Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005
