Now, if you add URIAH HEEP as someone suggested, I wouldn't have any doubts, not only great music, but very proggy also.
But still Lord's keyboards are outstanding.

Led Zeppelin
- They made the anthem of Rock.
- They've got an incredible singer.
- They've got an even more incredible guitar player (ever seen anybody else play guitar with a fiddlestick).
I bet there's more to say about them but can't recall anything right now...

Led Zeppelin, by a country mile. Whatever you may say about Ozzy, the first 4 Sabbath albums ROCK like a big rocky thing that's had some extra rocks piled on top of it. Deep Purple had their moments, but I wouldn't rescue any of their albums from a burning building (or even one with the heating turned up uncomfortably high).

Zep. I was at Knebworth in 78 and Led Zep were dots on the horizon I was so far away, but they were terrific. Loved their early stuff.
Never liked Sabbath or purple really.

I love em all, but I have had to go with Led Zep...
...if you'd have asked me when I was 15 tho...it would have been Black Sabbath all the way...

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Blue Cheer...yes. VINCEBUS ERUPTUM was the first (IMO) heavy metal disc.
I voted for Sabbath though...cause they're still f**kING HEAVY as lead nails.
