I've been listening to ELP since the age of 8, with a big thank you to my dad

Pity I never saw them live

How comes such a young guy to be an ELP fan?

Well I also like that trio from your land, Therapy?

Parents were big into music, my dad has a nice little prog collectin, lots of greats, tull, yes, elp, genesis  i've been listenin to prog for years! only got the internet recently and love how lots of people like it too

Lucky you, having a dad with a collection of prog. My sons don't know how lucky they are yet!

PS - I was into ELP when I was 13 or 14.

well in ireland he didnt have that much money so he couldnt get huge selection but my favs from his collectin are trilogy, selling england by the pound, close to the edge, going for the one, animals, dark side, wish you were here, the snow goose and some more i'd have to check.

but since then i've gone through a lot more!! getting cds and buyin vinyl etc. its been fun

My favourites are mostly live tracks: Aquatarkus, Tarkus (rest of it), also Hoedown, all from "Welcome Back", plus of course Karn Evil 9. Of studio tracks I like The Barbarian.

Karn Evil 9
Pirates
Tarkus
Toccata
Jerusalem

However, I only have BSS and Tarkus. I'm getting pics at a exhibition and trilogy on Christmas.

Our choices are scarily similar, even when choosing no. 5 they were all my considerations in doing so but i went with from the beginning because i love it and introduced me to the band
