Good point, what does Squire or Geddy Lee do in a fusion list? But Wetton or Rutherford?????? All amazing players but not related with Jazz/Fusion at all. Unless you don't see as Prog/Fusion like an independant Prog genre. Iván Edited by ivan_2068 |

I meant progressive rock and jazz fusion...I was not aware that prog/fusion in itself was a specific genre. |

I would have to say Geddy Lee, though I haven't heard a lot of the bassists in
this poll, I don't really know how accurate my vote is. |

My favorite bassists are Geddy Lee, Jaco, Geezer Butler, Victor Wooten, Cliff Burton, and Les Claypool. So I voted for Ged! |

No, but it's an specific sub-genre of Prog ( http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_LIS T.asp?style=30 ), so a better question would have been who's your favorite Prog bassist because this involves Prog/Fusion also. Just being specific. Iván But still I believe Randy "The Emperor" Jackson should be on the list. |
