BTW: The most alarming signal that the song is bad is that most
people who don't like Prog Metal (and DT in particular) say that they
like that song ... it simply isn't DT. It's against everything that
I&W, Awake or Scenes stand for.

Sorry dude my favoriute DT album is Train Of Thought |
sorry ... and ToT and 6DoIT of course. |
Ha, that`s better . OK, I get your point but I still think Octavarium is one of their best songs

I actually thought most of the album, bar the title track, was quite cheesy, but 'I Walk Beside You' was just plain bad...

I Walk Beside You gets my vote too ... IMO, the title track is clearly the best

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”
"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

The Answer Lies Within. I absolutely love all the songs on the album (yes, even "I walk beside you"), but this is the one that I just have to skip on the CD player when it reaches it.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I must also give my vote to I Walk
Beside You, although Never Enough and Sacrificed Sons didn't do much
for me either. Even though it's generic and poppy, I like These
Walls for some reason.
