Well, i'm the bass player of a PRog-Metal band called Golgotha... But i also have my own side projects. I'm starting an Avant-Prog Metal band called Lord Haacklar's Mnemosyne. I kinda do everything (Voices, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, Flute, Accordion, Sitar, Cello, Harp, strange noises) |

I am the founder member of UK based AREA 39. Bass player by trade but also do a little guitar work, editor, writer, producer. I am keeping my eyes open for other new UK prog bands for possible live work together in 2006. |

I play the bass and keyboards in my rockin' band Oddball (www.freewebs.com/oddballslp). I also play the guitar and drums when the drummer and guitarist aren't present. We're not prog (yet!), we play Weezer (), Led Zeppelin (), Black Sabbath (), some crappy emo (), some crappy punk (), some of our originals (), and some other stuff. However, I am slowly and subliminally prog-imificating the band, so... But shhh, don't tell the other guys!

^ Looks promising! You have a good strategy in prog-imification, try to do it discreetly. Slowly get rid out of the punk material, emphasize BLACK SABBATH and mostly your own compositions! |

hey- i was passing through, looking at the artist list for a Aural Moon tribute cd i'm helping to put together. more on that later. -------------------------------------- zenpool is the umbrella name i use for my projects. so i don't have to type a big page, or sound like i'm full of myself, anyone that's interested, please do a google search. short story- we're in rotation at all the PRRN stations, made the 460 member station Rradionetwork's top 10 "world" chart w/ our latest tune "majiker". we've had plays on the gagliarchives, the cd's been featured in full on Aural moon, progpositivity, and soon to be on stellar attractions. the cd's available at cdbaby, toweronline, downloadable from itunes and the rest of the lot. some of the tunes are more prog-ish than the early solo pieces, which are electronic/newage(y) ala vangelis. p e a c e kirk/zenpool |

I play guitar and viola, but the only band I've played in has two constant members (I'm one of them). We can't find a friggin' drummer, and I just went off to college. But I'm trying to form a prog band (although I'm probably not good enough yet).

Well, nothing really special right now. I can hardly find anyone that matches my musical ambition, but well, I have hope. I will probably play some québécois folk music (on violin, of course) with friends, but nothing too special right now. Though recently I might start a project a la Fly Pan Am with two friends. I'd play drums, ut also try to extract the worst sounds you'd ever hear out of a violin... |

I'm in a band that has a sound like a mixture of classic rock, a tiny bit of prog( althouhg this influence is increasing) some punk, grunge, and a ltittle metal and ambience Its good sh*t i'd say, but we are now writing stuff that's alot more proggy and that makes me happy! Our name is distortion and i play guitar and back up vocals |
||
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

COOL! I play violin with Philly-area spacerock band Scattered Planets. It's a very part-time band.. we just wing it at shows! I have also toured with Nik Turner/Spaceseed and am in the middle of touring with Harvey Bainbridge/Spaceseed this week.. I just recorded my first solo electric violin CD (I can post the CD Baby link if you'd like to hear the samples). Cyndee |
