I don't think that one was ever scary for *anyone*, but I do remember seeing my little sister freak out over Monster Party. I'd be scared too, that's some pretty poor usage of sprite tiling with that tree |

I haven't played any of the RE games, but I can't imagine how they
could beat Silent Hill 2...that game was existentially terrifying.
Great music, too.

Silent Hill 2 is one of the best games I've played in my entire life.

Utter blasphemy! Survival horror is a genre of psychology, not cheap thrills |

Survival horror update: Call of Cthulhu comes out Sept. 1st...looks
like it might be worth checking out. Bethesda is golden in my book for
Morrowind, and I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. At worst, it's gotta be better
than Cold Fear.

I totally abandoned Nintendo in favor of the PS2 but my son has a GC and the Wind Waker was a cool game and we had a ball playing Super Smash Brothers Melee I am going to get Nintendo's new console, the Revolution, just so I can play The Legend of Zelda:The Twilight Princess.Have you seen any gameplay movies of it?It looks awesome. |

Not a huge gamer myself. I don't have a console, because it's very seldom that I find a game I actually like. I'm looking forward to Fable: The Lost Chapters coming out for PC, though. Fable was such an awesome game, and the new version is going to be longer! Oh, and I've just gotten into the Myst games. I recently beat the first one, though I rushed through it and didn't take much time to examine the scenery. I just wanted to get to Riven, which is where I am now. The visuals are quite impressive, even today! |

Oh, and I really like DOS games! The Hichhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game got me into them, and I'm playing Zork now. Great game. Those text games can be really eerie if you have a good imagination!

Are you sure?I thought the new Zelda was a launch title for the Revolution. And I feel just the opposite.I have been gaming since the 70's with Pong,Atari,Intellivision....then Nintendo,Super Nintendo,N64,etc. For such a long time I was tired of kids games and craved more adult video games. Then GTA:III came out and my prayers were answered!!!!! I mainly play mature rated games, rpgs and sports games(Madden2006 addict right now). |

One thing that turned me off about GC was the controls , the only thing worse than a gamecube controller is a XBOX controller (it feels like a f**king canned ham), but I always had a blast with Super Smash Brothers Melee and WindWaker. I'm waiting until fall when RE4 comes out on PS2, I love my PS2, best games out of the 3 newest consoles, best controller, and compatability with PS1 games (I could never abandon FF7-9 and such). The new Zelda will be, in fact, released for the Gamecube: If any of you haven't seen screenshots of MGS4 for the PS3, do yourself a favor and find them, they're amazing, though I know I definately cannot afford a PS3 when they come out, so I am sad. zelda was supposed to come out before the end of this year (before the revolution would even have a chance of coming out) but it got delayed to around April. i still doubt it will go on to the revolution. i've played a lot of those "run around and kill innocent things" games like San Andreas, and i'm done with them, though it is fun watching media watchdogs get riled up over them (i'm nearly 17 and haven't killed a cop in my entire life. i'm so odd) but what made me turn around was halo 2 on xbox live. some people take that game so f**king seriously you wouldn't want to know. that's why i got a cube. i just want to get back to having fun. |
